The check-in process was rather clunky even though I apparently had submitted all the paperwork through Expedia. They needed me to fill out a detailed on-line document, including downloaded photos, which I had no clue how to do. Everything, including the pass key code, is high-tech and difficult for some to manage. As for the room, my only complaint was that using the toilet was an ordeal as a large-sized person could barely squeeze by the sink. The staff was wonderful and she happily helped me navigate these hoops. The food and service at the restaurant was outstanding. All told, it was a pleasurable experience except for a few glitches.

This stay is not worth the $200 dollars. The Hunters Lodge (the cabin/shed we rented) smelt so bad as soon as you opened the door, Behind the sliding doors of the bedroom where the washer/dryer are located, there was stuff stacked and super dirty. The type of place you didn’t want to touch or use anything. Did not feel safe staying here with my children. We arrived pretty late after driving all day and had the next closest place been available, we wouldn’t have stayed here at all. Highly don’t recommend.

This is the most whimsical place I ever been to. I was going to stay in a camp site but was too late to book so I found this place last minute abc boy I'm so glad I found it. It was cheap quiet the staff was super attentive. I will stay here agai!

Parking was easy and secure. Plenty of bedding, pillows, linens and blankets. Coffee pot was ready to make coffee in the morning. Staff was incredible, friendly, helpful and prompt. It was close to the park entrance which was very convenient.

I love that this room didn’t smell like cigarettes & it was clean. I did dislike that we had to keep the light on in order to watch TV. All streaming apps were working fine, the internet did stop working around 11pm on the Roku. We restarted the Roku and the internet came back. Lastly, I didn’t see this on their page but they charge $10.50 to use the laundromat and their kitchen per day. Just a little fyi. Can’t wait to come back and try their family rooms!!!

I stayed in the creekside cabin, which was a wonderful for some privacy and a little extra space. It's a cozy room, but big enough for a few folks. I was traveling solo for a job in Kings Canyon and loved the solitude with green nature out the door, and a good space to do yoga while looking out on the landscape. Keep in mind, there isn't much to cook with other than a microwave, so plan accordingly. Beyond that, I had a lovely time in this space.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Pay the extra $50 or drive the extra ten miles to stay somewhere else, believe me. It was easily the worst place we've ever stayed at and we are budget travelers that have gone to National Parks last minute (meaning super limited stays). The room is really small and the layout is really weird, not ideal but not really a problem. But when we walked in at 6pm (check in starts at 3 or 4) the shower and the area surrounding it were wet, first red flag. The furniture is weird, old and clunky, the beds are super uncomfortable and the fabric of the sheets and pillowcases was like cardboard, it's a budget hotel so understandable I wasn't expecting silk sheets on a down bed, but I was also not expecting such incredibly low quality. All of that could've been let go, BUT the sheets were FILTHY and so was the floor, and the roof looked like it was about to fall on you (I have pictures). Absolutely disgusting. The check in process was ok because they just have electric locks with a code. What they spent on that could've been spent on improving the actual room. We went to the next door restaurant and waited an hour for burgers that never came. Overall a horrible experience, I get that you're looking at this hotel for cheapness/closeness, but please do yourself a favor and spend the extra $50 or 15 minutes

I wanted to love this place but my room didn't live up to my exoecations. The light near the heater wouldn't turn off without unscrewing the bulb, which I couldn't reach, so I slept pretty terribly. The floor on the side of the bed by the window was soaked and sticky. The outlets were all near the floor, which given the wetness, was concerning. The bed was old and I felt the springs. The shower head in the shower was too high and the shower too small to not have it hit me right in my face. The shower pan was fkexing, as was the bathroom floor, which was soaked after I got out even though the shower curtain was inside the shower. So I have no idea where. The water came from. I did my best to clean it up. And all night, something was digging in the walls/outside, and I could hear every car pass as if I was sleeping on the shoulder of the road. I would avoid booking the cheaper row of rooms right next to the restaurant (which was delicious, despite my stay experience) and try for the other stays they offer, as those seemed to be a bit better. Also, when I left at 6am, I was surprised by lion roar from the park nearby. Nothing if not a unique experience.
