“Of all the places we stayed on our three-week trip, Le Doux Refuge was by far our favourite. Christine and Christoph made us feel at home from the very start, and they treated my father like he was the most important person in the world. “First of all Bayeaux is one of the most charming towns we visited in France. The location of the Declic hotel is the best in town. You are across the street from the weekly massive market. The market was better than most I've seen in big cities--fresh fish, freshly baked bread, fruit and vegetables galore, tons of cooked food, cheese, meats and lots of hot prepared food too. Unfortunately the hotel did not tell us ahead of time that the upstairs bath was out of order. Or offer any type of reimbursement. We paid almost $700 for the night.
