This hotel only cares for money and not to have a positive impact on people! I'm able to write a review for this hotel despite not staying there only because the Expedia system accidentally switched my free-cancellation booking with a non-refundable one.
Immediately after I made the booking, I realized I had the wrong dates so I went to cancel my booking. Because of Expedia's mistake, the system would not allow me to cancel and the Expedia support staff didn’t make an effort to help.
So I reached out to the hotel to explain my situation. Normally, I had time to cancel my booking had it not been wrongfully recorded as a non-refundable booking. Despite knowing this, the hotel refused to help find any solution, and told me I should ask for money from Expedia because they had been paid and refused to give anything back.
I know how such hotels have a few months to earn as much as possible in order to make it through the whole year. But, this is the hospitality industry. You are supposed to help your guests when you are able to. Instead, they chose to take the human element completely out of their hospitality service, and they only focused on the $600 that they stood to gain from my wrongful booking.
If they are so misguided that they ignore the opportunity to do right so that it can return favorably back to them with positive recommendations and/or with future bookings just so they can take my $600, then I suggest to them to get out of this industry and start a bank.
