“This cabin was the perfect size for our family of four. We were in town for the New River Trail races (I ran the 50k) and we enjoyed the map of the trail on the dining table. The kitchen was stocked and the snacks and K cups were appreciated. There is a trail down to the river (not for those with limited mobility) and it was a fun adventure finding the markers in the trees. “This was an unbelievable home for our large family vacation! There were games to be played on the lake, games in the house, beautiful views and an incredibly well stocked kitchen. The beds were so comfortable!The lake had life jackets for anyone who wanted one, soccer balls, paddle boats and kayaks. I could go on and on. We went on a few hiking and boating excursions, (beautiful), but really felt that we could have just stayed at the cottage all day every day because Avonlea Cottage has it all!……
