"Surprisingly charming little motel. Checkin staff was super friendly and helpful - offered us free bike and kayak rentals which was unexpected. It sits right on a little creek with pretty quick access to the sound. Apparently it was someone’s birthday and they were throwing a little party on the grounds - there’s a small stage, they had live music, free food. We had plans so we didn’t go but it was nice to be invited. :) It’s clearly been around for a long time but seemed to be pretty recently renovated inside. Everything was clean and comfortable. Just about as convenient as Buxton gets - directly across from the lighthouse road. Walk to the beach is just a few minutes."

"A very charming and well maintained campground. My little peach colored cabin was like something out of a storybook. Cassandra, the greeter in the office, was such a delight to work with!"

"I had stayed here before and loved it, especially the location. This time I had trouble with check in which was supposed to be open until 8:00pm but no one was there. After spending about an hour on the phone a really nice man from Kees helped me out. I would suggest you call them ahead of time to get your apartment number and key code. The apartment was very nice and clean, but the wifi was down and I had no service or tv all night."
Family Friendly Canal Front Beach Home--Pet Friendly/Rec room/New Hot Tub

"It was a clean space with great views- the sun sets over the waterway which you can watch from the back porch and you can see the sound from the top floor. The sheets are folded instead of on the bed when you arrive so you know that they are fresh and unused. There are two jacuzzi tubs and a hot tub. 3 full and 2 1/2 baths which is impressive. A large living space to spend time in and lots of room for dining.Overall it was a great space to kick back after a long day of adventures and we wished we could stay longer.Thank you for being pet friendly!!"

"This is a beautiful home, it's decor - Pottery Barn meets the Shore. Beds were comfortable, kitchen stocked with necessities. The walk to the beach was about 10 minutes. The sunsets were divine. Really a great place to gather and enjoy salt life. As for Frisco, I loved the quiet of the whole area, away from the busier north OBX. Very close to Hatteras too!"
