"Wonderful 1920’s hotel. We have stayed a number of times over the last few years. It is safe, intersting and convenient to Syracuse University. We have just loved the historical features of the hotel. Not fancy, but clean comfortable and friendly. Now it is being overhauled by A chain and remodeling is feeling cheep. Room doors over painted and sticking badly. Other minor things we were willing to chalk up to growing pains until we learned about the generic overhaul of the lobby planned to obliterate the charming and gorgeous carved cement entrance . I’m happy to see a great old hotel get saved, but no need to take away its charm!"

"We enjoyed our stay. We were on our way to drop our daughter at Syracuse and spent two nights here. We had breakfast here and the food was excellent. the hotel is very close to the downtown area and the lake. We enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi and putting green areas in the evenings too. We will stay here again! Everything is brand new."
