This is not a "Hotel' . It's a boutique hotel with B&B feel. Old school with 10 to 12 rooms available. Each room was a class room. Very very cool. King size bed, Good cooling/heating system that's not too loud, Huge bathroom with beautiful morning sunlight!!!! The folks at the desk are charming upon arrival and they would give you a bit of history while walking you to your room. Any questions/directions you might have, they will go beyond helping you. My husband and I needed a quick getaway from the Philadelphia area and this was perfect!!! You can walk everywhere from here. On Googles map it might look like it's off the beaten path but it's not. One suggestion I would make to the hotel is that they offer robes for their baths, especially in the colder months. The room was clean. We were on the first floor and the floor above us was VERY creaky, understandable for such an old building though. The pub food was delicious and the service was great. Staff was very courteous. But I can’t give this place 5 stars. There is no central lobby of any size to enjoy the ambiance, the road noise was surprisingly evident, the TV system was a couple of generations behind and there was a dehumidifier present in the room. Historic but updated. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and make you feelso welcome. The pub has a wonderful atmosphere and the food is amazing! You can sit out on the porch and enjoy a drink if you want, or dine outside in the summer. It doesn't have an elevator so if you can't do stairs make sure to request a first floor room but don't let that stop you. I will definitely stay here when I visit Gettysburg.
