“The room was pristine. The heating was a little too hot for my liking and it wasn’t obvious how to turn it down or control it. No aircon.”

“Nice hotel, clean, well looked after. Room was spacious with plenty of nice details and a comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff, good dinner in the evening in the restaurant. Sausages on my breakfast in the morning were cold but it was otherwise nice. However, I booked this as a weekend away on my own (without the kids) since going through a bereavement and was looking for some peace and quiet. There was live music below my room from 7:30pm until 11pm. It was literally making the floor……

“Couldn't fault this hotel at all. From the beautiful grounds, the grandeur of the building, the impeccable customer service, the delicious food, the spacious, elegant room, the clean, luxurious spa. The drinks were a tad on the pricey side, but the mid week room price including spa access was excellent value for money. Would come here again in heartbeat. ”

“Arrived at 2 pm, front desk asked us to come back at 3, eventually checked-in at 3 ish, front desk informed that the Spa closes at 4:30. Rushed to the Spa straight after check-in, and the woman at Spa told us the Spa closes at 3:45 instead because they need time to "clean-up". So we ended up spending 15 mins at the Spa.. Went to the Spa next morning, only to find out the Spa was closed the whole day due to "maintenance"! Complained to the front desk when checked-out, and the lady said "well,……

“Room was clean but there was a mark on the bedding which wasn't too savoury. We were given the disability room for some reason and that meant that the bathroom sink/mirror were low amongst other things. If we had stayed another night we would have asked to be moved as the hotel wasn't full. The staff were very nice as was the breakfast. ”

“The stay provided a really welcome break. The hosts met us to check in and were really warm and welcoming. We were shown around the property and assured to contact them if we needed anything. We didn't as the accommodation had everything that we needed. I was slightly concerned that the room may have been cold given the time of year, but it was really warm and cosy and well furnished. The shower was also powerful and hot. I would definitely recommend for a short break. ”
