“Highly recommend”

“Property was as described and good for our family. Unfortunately we were snowed in, and left a day early when we got a chance to get out. Could use a bit more prep in winter months of ax accessible and smaller pieces of wood available. Indoor wood stove was great overall. House was warm and never lost power. Cooked meals easily. Our dog could slip through the decking, so that was a bit stressful during a blizzard, but she enjoyed it. :) Master bed comfy and warm. Thank you for letting us enjoy……

“Great relaxing weekend. House was as listed, clean and well organized. A couple mishaps with power and internet due to high winds, but you have to expect that in rural areas. 5 Star all around.”

“Great spot between monarch and Salida. Hot tub worked great. Beds were comfortable. Hot tub not as private as the picture implies. Highway quite loud (woke kids up several times). Internet spotty at best. Kitchen had pots/pans/ dishes but zero condiments. Hard to prepare your own meals with nothing to add (ie olive oil, salt, pepper, ketchup etc). It would be impossible to cook many meals there unless you brought your own spices and condiments. Found it odd since that’s part of the draw to……

“This property is in a great location. A few miles from Monarch for great skiing and plenty of trails for snowshoeing in the area. We also love the close proximity of Salida, our favorite mountain town. Beautiful accommodations and private hot tub cannot be beat!”

“Nothing is upfront about this non refundable booking. Its unpleasant surprise after unpleasant surprise. No cell service, internet was down, no land line, fireplace disabled, no snow removal around the property (if you wanted to use any of the decks, you had to shovel 3 feet of snow) On and on, trust me, the night fee plus the cleaning fee equals a whole lot of disappointment ”

“The property was undergoing renovations, so access to the hotel room with luggage was difficult and parking was in another building, but it was indoors and free. Communications around the pool maintenance was non existent and the man in charge was an idiot.”

“We stayed at one of those tiny homes. It was cute and comfortable for six of us. The only thing is the heater. it got really hot where the queen bed was, but all the other area stayed pretty cold. So some of us were sweating at night but some of us were freezing. Other than that we didn’t have any problems. Had beautiful view of mountains, got to see some deer on the site as well. Overall we very much enjoyed the stay!”
