“Breakfast was fantastic. Real coffee cups! Room was spacious and clean. A great value. Will definitely stay again when visiting the area.”

“We had a such a great time at the Salida Inn & Monarch Suites. The staff were very friendly & welcoming, in fact they went above & beyond to ensure we were satisfied with our stay. There's a free breakfast in the morning with a nice assortment of snacks & beverages. The property looks slightly rough on the outside, but the suite we enjoyed was one of the most spacious rooms I've experienced and was remodeled/updates. “There were so many things wrong, I don't know where to start. There was one toilet paper roll in the room about 3/4 used, the TV did not work (they installed a Roku but it didn't work as well), the resteraunt was closed even though on their website it said it was. In the morning of our second night the water went out - no showers, could only flush the toilet once, etc. Please do not stay at this property!”

“Some repairs are needed. Poor lounge chair at pool outside deck. It was broken and they only had one. Screen door in big need of repair. Items in the room did not work. Microwave door GFI in bathroom”

“Positives: the place was very clean and comfortable. Negatives: the room was too dim; it needed more or brighter lights. I needed another wash cloth and wasn’t able to figure out how to get one. Trying to communicate with the staff via e mail was difficult.”

“WE enjoyed our Stay there. The AC worked. My wife did not like how the bathroom was arranged. the toilet and shower were in one room and the sink and mirror was in another room. I thought it was okay since I could shower while she brushed her teeth and vise versa. I didn't like the shower curtain. The room did have drawer so we did not have to live out of our suitcase. the GWRL was in a good place so we could sight see the Great Sand Dunes NP, or the Royal Gorge Bridge. “They let us have a room for our cat, it very hard to find hotels that will let you have a cat in the room! They have a designated room for pets and the cat love it! She is a very picky cat! Our room was clean and had everything we need in it! The person at front desk was friendly and helpful! I would stay there again!”
