“Management Chaos and Extremely Poor Service (Stayed 12/26-12/27) My stay from 12/26 to 12/27 was highly disappointing due to inconsistent management and unprofessional staff. Upon arriving late after a long road trip, the front desk was disorganized and even asked if I had "already checked in," causing a 15-minute delay for no reason. I had specifically pre-purchased breakfast and confirmed the hours with the front desk, who stated it ended at 10:30 AM. However, when I arrived with my family……

“I use Holiday Inn Express and Suites whenever I travel between CA and NC twice each year. I really do not like leaving negative reviews, but Abilene is consistently higher priced than the other cities I stay in (Tucson and Tuscaloosa) and the hotel is never as clean and up to date. “The room was clean and had no bugs. But when we arrived, our room had no soap and only one thin bath towel. The door was warped, and the deadbolt was very difficult to latch. The AC unit was noisy and looked like coffee had spilled on it. To top things off, it is hard to get into because it faces a one way street and the neighborhood is not great. My wife did not feel safe.”

“It was very nice place!!! Super convenient to the civic center. I took my granddaughter to a concert there and it was maybe a 2 minute walk basically in the same parking lot.”

“The place wasn't anything special just a bed and bathroom. Had a tv and great A/C for the hot summer day. I went in August. If you need just a place to sleep and shower this was a great option for me. They also gave me a water when I went to the front desk and asked. The people were very kind and always available. Again not a 5 star stay, but a good place to stay if you are in a pinch.”

“This hotel is far from clean. For starters, watch the video on the Google review to see how filthy the carpet is. It literally sticks to your feet and turns the soles brown. My freshly washed socks stuck to the carpet and turned brown as well. Disgusting. There was dried urine on the underside of the toilet seat, pubic hair and stains in the shower, ripped and brown stained shower curtain, damaged bathroom door, and not a single wall in the room free damage or partial repairs.
