The hotel staff and security are super friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome. There were however some annoying hiccups when I checked in with cleanliness in the room I was given and I had to ask to be switched to a new room. The rooms are stylish and the beds and bedding absolutely luxurious. I didn't want to get out of bed and looked forward to sleeping - possibly the best thing about this hotel. The food at the restaurant is good and there is a big mall a short walk away with a food court and a nice restaurant on the roof. The area feels safe, for Karachi ;) and it's conveniently close to some local sites worth visiting.

La Promenade Plantèe or Coulèe Verte is a like a little oasis amidst the city of Paris. It is a park that was made over an abandoned railway. It is about 4 km of lush green walking path, with fountains and tiny parks along the way. We spent a lovely rainy Sunday walking the promenade, taking in all the sights.
