"All was great-staff, breakfast, room, quietness, location. Only thing that made us upset was finding out that since we were staying a whole week, we had to let housekeeping come in after 3 days to clean the room. Tried to prevent that happening but lost that battle."

"Very nice modern cabin, Love the barn doors, Patio overlooking the River was very serene with hot tub and fire pit. Brought our own 10x10 Canopy for on deck, helped in rainy dewy weather and provided shade. Very peaceful getaway!!"

"This hotel opened its restaurant at 5 a.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026, for breakfast for guests who were booked for a train excursion that boarded at 7 a.m. What excellent service. We talked to other people who had stayed at other local hotels and were told that some hotels did not alter their hours to accommodate this important event (the train ride to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States). Kudos to the Doubletree in Newark, Ohio."
