Secluded log cabin

Look no further than Brown County Log Cabin, a newly built authentic log cabin conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from the heart of Nashville. This pet-friendly rental is the ideal spot for couples and families looking to get away from it all and bask in the therapeutic benefits of nature.

After a day of exploring, unwind in the spacious 6-person hot tub, roast some marshmallows by the fire pit, or relax on the lovely wrap-around porch and take in the sights and sounds of the great outdoors. Inside, cozy up by the fire and enjoy a respite from the elements in one of three bedrooms (plus a sofa sleeper), making Brown County Log Cabin the ideal destination for your next getaway.

PET-FRIENDLY PROPERTY: There is a $75 fee per pet. Moondance Vacation Homes proudly donates a portion to the Brown County Humane Society when you bring your pet and pay your pet fee.

All gas fireplaces are seasonal and available for use from October 1st - April 1st.

Nice cabin for family getaway weekend
We were visiting the area from St. Louis to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. We arrived late at night, so finding the cabin the first time was a little challenging. But we did love the peacefulness, cleanliness & ample room provided by this cabin. Only about 20 min from Martinsville. If our weekend wasn't already jam packed, we'd have spent most our time in Brown County. Anyways, would definitely stay again!

A wonderfully hidden property
Loved the quiet serenity of the cabin. Back in the woods surrounded by nature with easy access to Morgantown just 15 minutes to the north and Nashville just 20 minutes to the south. Nashville is full of shops and restaurants to suite the taste of most anyone. The cabin itself was very clean with all of the essentials. A nice fireplace that cranks out the heat and only needs to be switched on to enjoy (on top of the mantle).

Brought mom (86 years old) to visit here sister for the weekend. The cabin in the woods was a great place for everyone to sit around and chat. The kitchen was equipped with quality pots and pans which made cooking easier. Cabin has nice open area which was good. Overall i would stay again.

What a beautiful cabin surrounded by beautiful nature. The inside of the cabin was inviting and provided all the amenities that you need. The host is very prompt in answering questions. Thank you for making our stay relaxing.

We really enjoyed our getaway in this beautiful cabin. It was exceptionally clean. Beds were comfortable. Perfect for a family getaway. Wish there was a laundry and a 2nd full bath on the first floor. Loft was great for the kids. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub.

Perfect Get Away, Quiet and Private
The cabin was exactly what we were looking for a quiet get away with our two dogs. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs with queen beds. There is a nice room upstairs with bunkbeds but we didn't use it. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, skillets, etc. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with towels, paper towels, blankets, and extra pillows. The covered porch with rocking chairs was perfect for a rainy afternoon. It was a short drive to Nashville and Brown County State Park. We drove in everyday for hiking.

Very clean, mince, smaller than I thought
We stayed for a week for Thanksgiving. Very clean, beds slept well but warn you. With teenagers upstairs in the loft (which is great for them!) it is loud. No insulation between floors or walls. Just a sheet of wood. Can literally see between rooms in gaps (nonissue for orivacy but yes for noise). Discovered silicon ear plugs and all is well. Sad we couldn’t walk in the woods at all. But a nice place overall

Misleading description, suspect charges, and unprofessional property managers. Paper-thin walls, shoddy appliances, bugs galore inside (fruit flies, flies, wasps...my 70+ year old parents were both stung by wasps). Wanted to love this place (good location close to Indy) but a lot to overlook.

Amazing cabin in the woods!
The cabin and outside property is so beautiful! The hosts had everything and more of what you possibly could need. Hot tub was a great bonus feature! Only complaint is that that it is paper thin walls and between upstairs and downstairs. Can hear everything! Only suggestion to maybe solve that is have TV’s in every room to drown out noise. Thanks for having us and our fur babies! We truly appreciate it! Definitely would consider staying again in future.

Great Cabin, Great Location
We had a great time staying at this cabin. It was clean and well-maintained. You feel like you are really out in the woods thanks to the many windows and glass doors in the main living area. The cabin is also just a short drive from all that Nashville, Indiana has to offer as well as two nearby state parks. The wrap-around patio was a great place to sit and have morning coffee. We were quite comfortable with four adults, two young children, and a dog. The check-out to do list is a little longer than what we are used to, so make sure you leave a little extra time to do things like wash and put away the dishes on your last morning.

Great getaway
Very clean, great spot for a couple night stay. Quick response when I noticed confirmation stated 1 adult(not sure why) and it was changed to 5, but no one said the total due would change. Had to call for explanation which was that the additional persons would utilize more linen than the covered 2. Only concern was the additional charge for more than 2 people yet, there was only 1 wineglass, and only 3 coffee cups for 5 adults. If a hot tub is available then more than 2 designated towels are needed, especially if no laundry facilities. Easy in and out process and nice private quiet place.
