“The hotel is extremely dated. Note that there is a large annex, so if you are in a “garden” room, you are not staying in the castle, it is an outdated 1980s annex. The bathroom had a sink that had been broken and poorly glued back together and a very dirty fan. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and could have used a mattress topper. You feel every spring in the mattress. The entire hotel also had a very musty smell. The actual castle portion has potential to be very beautiful, but some……

“They said the cooker was broken however we feel that they should have had someone to repair it asap. We understood there was no Tv or wifi but in this day and age anything is possible even if you have to raise the price. We were not told about electricity that it was a key meter it was only when an alarm was going off we traced it to electric box to find there was only 50p left on it we put key on and it added another £15 which went nowhere these are very expensive devices. “Absolutely no complaints. Everything was clean,food was good anf plentiful.All the people we met were super friendly.It was a really unique place to stay in and we enjoyed it alot. A shout out to Tanya who was fabulous during our stay and went above and beyond in ensuring we made it to the cruise port to catch our ship. Thank you also to her husband for driving us there!”
