“Was beautiful and quiet. Perfect for a gathering. BUT hot tub overheated once and was 111 (WAY too hot to get into), and it kept tripping the breaker so had to keep resetting it. Also departing conditions says to put trash in dumpster. Couldn’t find a dumpster anywhere on the property or road, ended up having to bring it home in a car. But over all was a great place to stay. May go back again with family. Was beautiful and just want 6 mommas needed for a Mother’s Day weekend get away. ”

“Came up to Rockwood to see the solar eclipse. The cabin was in good shape, with all the amenities covered. Host was responsive when we had a questions.”

“This Caribou Island cabin was perfect for an end of summer getaway for my kids (13 and 11) and me. The highlight for us was the location--nestled in the trees right on the lake, but completely private. I can't say enough about how beautiful the property is. The bedrock protrudes through a thin cover of soil and is covered with a variety of lichen and moss that is absolutely gorgeous. Wintergreen covers much of the property too, which we used to make delicious tea to warm us after fishing in the……

“We enjoyed our stay, especially the wonderful shore walks, bedroom in the trees tops, and very peaceful. The Living Room furniture is rather "funky" and fun, but the couch really needs to be replaced. Loved all the updates made to the cabin. The great amount of work that has gone into updating this cottage is obvious. Kudos to the people that have worked so hard to update this property!”

“Everything was good minus the couch cushions constantly were falling off the couch. Appliances didn’t have any lights(fridge ect). Not much you can do about tv due to the size of the place but definitely not the most comfortable looking up 15ft at the tv.”

“We stayed in April to experience the eclipse. The house is right on Moose River. In warmer weather we definitely would have taken advantage of the access as well as the firepit. Close to snowmobile trails and plenty of summer time activities. Would highly recommend. Communication with owner was excellent.”
