The accommodation was nice, but the service was not. The accommodation is very conveniently located, clean, and has plenty of shopping options nearby. The kitchen is simple but adequate. The mattresses in the double bed, however, are a disaster! Very cheap, worn, and saggy; they should have been replaced years ago. A disgrace for the price. We considered sleeping on the floor. One of us ended up sleeping on the sofa. The service provided by the landlord was not perfect. Upon arrival, the wastewater tank indicator showed that it was full, and we didn't know if the toilet and shower were even usable. The landlord, the company "Pass the Property," knew nothing about it, and the marina operator informed us the next day that the sensor was defective, but the tank had been pumped out and was empty. The landlord should have known this and at least given some warning. On the second day, Sunday afternoon, there was suddenly no electricity on the houseboat. This meant no water, no light, no toilet or shower, and no use of the kitchen. Here, too, the landlord couldn't help and was nice, but clueless and helpless. They tried to contact an electrician, but it was pointless on a Sunday afternoon. As it turned out, the houseboat's power had been shut off via computer, how and why is unknown. With the help of neighbors and the marina's operating company, Aquavista, the power was restored late that evening. No help or support from "Pass the Property." From then on, it was a very pleasant stay
Overall we were very happy. It was nice staying at the marina. Very quiet. We were able to walk to where we needed or get on the rail. We used the laundry facilities they were nice and clean. You could sit in a covered patio area while you waited on cloths. It was unique and fun while on a unique vacation. The reason it dropped a star. They were having an unusual hot weather event. We called no fans were offered. The place was over 90 degrees (32 Celsius). The last day housekeeping brought us a fan. They should have fans for unusual events. The curtain on the back door was cheap and had been duck taped several times. Heat required door open but wind kept blowing it off. Annoying to deal with every time you needed to shut the door to leave. The main reason for a lost was interaction with one property manager. These are on water & the septic light was on saying it needed to be pumped. I let host know & asked if it was ok to use shower. First she wanted a picture to prove I was telling the truth. Why would someone lie about that? Then she told me it was likely faulty but just so I could set “my expectations “ it could be a day. So we did use shower as the heat was unbearable. I did not need Aileen to set my expectations. It’s not my property if it got damaged after I had notified her it was not my concern. She could have said it might be a day before they got to it and that would be fine. Aileen did not have to be so condescending when I was just looking out for the property.
