"Well equipped and cared for clean lake front camp with gorgeous sunsets. Stayed for 9 nights with my adult son and my dogs. We enjoyed our vacation and feel well rested. Carol was accommodating and easy to communicate with."

"Fabulous. Perfect Bold Coast getaway. Peaceful, spacious, gorgeous property away from it all - but close enough to whatever you may want to see, do, eat or experience. Have been DownEast a few dozen times and will definitely come back to this property. Hosts lovely, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. In particular the trails, water views, sunrise on the front porch, writing nook, fireplace, antique décor and spectacular fall color made leaving very difficult. Well stocked pantry, immaculate and cozy...and not an ounce of fussiness :-)"

"Very convenient to shopping and gas stations, although there isn't a lot to choose from for shopping being a quaint, adorable town with friendly, helpful natives. Very typical of an older motel but super nice people running it. On 9.26.26 the front section was being repaired but this did not cause any noise or inconvenience. It's a little thing but an ironing board and iron would have been appreciated. I would definitely book there again. Super clean!!"

"Nice new house that provided all the basic essentials. Very quiet and peaceful. Had a little difficulty with check in as the instructions were not accurate but we were able to contact someone and get a quick response. Loved that it was pet friendly so we could travel with our dogs."

"The location was perfect for the area that we wanted to explore! The house was very clean. The beds are sooo comfortable. The deck was a great place to sit in the sun and enjoy the river views."

"I looked at lots of pet-friendly places before I stumbled upon this wonderful spot! The location is so peaceful, it’s a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I’m definitely planning to book it again when I’m back in Maine, especially since my fur-baby is welcome!"

"A most unique, beautiful place to stay while exploring Machias and the coast. The host, Kim, responds fast to answer questions and to explain the checkin process. The place was clean, well appointed and we hated to leave."

"We enjoyed using the cabin to explore the bold coast. It would easily handle a bigger group than the four that we had. The kitchen had more and better equipment than any house we have rented. I also enjoyed watching the sun rise and set over the water. The last morning, I got to watch a lobster boat pulling pots from the deck."
