it was out first time in nyc and we wanted something close by to the penn station as we arrived from newark. upon arrival the checkin staff was super nice and helpful. the space was smaller and than expected and a few areas in the bathroom could’ve been cleaned better. we were also unaware of the show you key card policy when you want to return to your room after going out as the staff the previous night never asked for it. however on our third bight there the staff were very rude and didn’t let me go in as I simply walked out the door and immediately came back in. I had to get my sister come down to the lobby to show them our card key. They explained it was their job which I then understood, but their behavior and attitude was unacceptable and unwelcoming. I do not recommend this for anyone traveling for the first time.
