Perfect for us staying while our son at UWSP right around the corner. Nothing fancy - but clean and convenient - comfy beds - waffle maker in bfast area - helpful friendly staff - nice desk in room for working as well... close to many food options for meals - doesn't have coffee maker in room but has a machine for making a fresh cup on demand available in lobby any time and starbucks right around the corner. Definitely our go to for overnight stays when visiting Stevens Point.

Check in was slow and when we got our room my wife immediately noticed a large white stain on the brown bed spread. She pointed this out to a housekeeper and the lady came in the room and said "it's just a stain", She did not offer to replace the bed cover or anything. My wife took it off and brought it to their laundry room. She should have put it in the dumpster. There was a bulb flickering and my wife had to take car of that also. The desk clerk/manager misled us by telling us that if we drove to a casino about 30 miles away we good get free play by telling them we were staying at the Best Western Wittenberg. That was a lie and we wasted our time and gas driving there. Then the same person refused to give us our casino coupons this morning which we have always received before. The recent manager change at this location is not very promising . I think we are owed a Best Western free stay.

So this was our first time in years at this hotel and it will be our last. No washclothes in our room or ice bucket. The microwave didn't work and all the shampoo and lotions were half used and dried up at the top. Just gross. When we tried to call for assitance no answer and no one ever called us back. They seemed short staffed as we had to push a button at the front desk to wait for help to check in, that took over 15mins. The whole place seemed abandoned and not well kept up. The breakfast was the only positive thing during our stay.
