The location is right in the center of Mariposa, which is very convenient, and we had a late check-in around 9 PM after a long day in Yosemite. The Inn was not full, and we were assigned a ground-floor room with windows facing the parking lot.
Since it was already late, we didn’t bother asking to change rooms—we just wanted to get some sleep. Unfortunately, the room had two major problems.
First, the air conditioner was extremely noisy. When it was running, it sounded almost like a V12 engine. We had to turn it off completely and open the windows; otherwise, it was simply too loud to sleep.
Second, the sound insulation was very poor. The ice machine was located right outside our room, and we could hear guests coming by to get ice throughout the night.
Overall, the location is convenient, but if you’re looking for a quiet room and a good night’s sleep, I would recommend avoiding this property—or at least making sure you get a room away from the parking lot and ice machine.
Spacious room , convenient location with dining nearby. My only complaint was the floor noise from above party on 4th floor. They walked back and forth all night. I guess thats why they left a pair of ear plugs. We spoke to 2 different front desk employees and they were both super friendly ! We were about 1 hour from Yosemite National Park but the drive went by quickly.
