“We arrived at about 11:30 pm and had to wake up the owner/manager who drove over to let us in 5-10 minutes later. There was no one around the neighborhood but it was a little unnerving so late at night. We did not have a chance then or in the am to see how close any restaurants were to the hotel. Requested a non-smoking room and arrived not just to a room that had been smoked in but one that reeked of overpowering cigarette smoke even after we opened windows and doors for some time. "Overall, the hotel was very good and we enjoyed our stay. However, there was one major flaw that significantly affected our experience: the toilet in the room. The toilet seat is unusually small and round, providing insufficient space even for an average-sized adult. Frankly, I cannot imagine it being comfortable for many guests, especially larger European guests. Even as an Asian guest, I found it cramped. For male users in particular, the design leaves almost no room at the front when seated, making it genuinely uncomfortable to use. I was surprised that such a small toilet was selected, as it feels completely out of place in an otherwise well-designed hotel. The issue is not the bathroom size itself, but the choice of toilet. Whoever made the design or purchasing decision may have prioritized appearance over practicality. Unfortunately, it compromises everyday comfort in a way that guests notice immediately. I hope the hotel will seriously consider replacing these toilets with standard-sized models in the future, as this single issue was the most disappointing aspect of an otherwise excellent stay."
