“The Monfeith Hotel is situated off a round about barely 50 yards off the main Arbroath Road. This raised concern for me that it would be noisy, especially since my room was facing the road. This turned out to be wrong as while the hotel's proximity to traffic noise from a main thoroughfare exists, there was very little noise. Perhaps the fact that it's located in a dip, below the highway level, curbs to the noise. I had a peaceful night's sleep and sat out on the lawn in the morning with my……

“The bed had passed it's life expectancy and was not very comfortable. I couldn't get any hot water from the shower. I didn't get any breakfast as I had to leave the guest house by 07:30am to go to work. Otherwise fine.”
