Our host was tremendous, recommending great places for dinner and making us feel very welcome. Next time we’ll stay longer and bring the boat since the home has a private slip.”

“It had been a tough year for our family, and we were badly in need of a getaway surrounded by loved ones and the beauty of nature. The Red Door Lodge was the perfect prescription. The octagonal, log house has a feel of authenticity yet with all the modern conveniences. There was more than ample room inside for us, our adult grandkids and their awesome mom … but it was the grounds with many mowed trails and a gorgeous lake that were most amazing. “Clean and cozy. Owner is friendly and responsive. Close to the water, great fishing off the dock for kids. Loved the fire pit and that we could bring our dog. Kitchen is small, but who cooks? We grilled most of the time.Everyone had so much fun!!!”

“Clean and cozy. Newly remodeled. Kitchen is tiny, but who cares? There is a Weber grill and fire pit, lawn chairs, a dock 10 feet away, paddle boat and kayaks. We all had so much fun! We will be back!”

The hosts made sure there was ample water and firewood.The property was beautiful with plenty of options to keep you busy.Bugs were definitely bad, but wearing the right clothing and using bug spray, worked well.I did find some ticks on my dog, but this is the woods and it’s to expected.I will definitely be back!”

“What a wonderful cabin. This place was incredible. Lots of room for a family of 8 plus the lake setting was perfect. Walking distance from Windmill ice cream and the Tilted Loon was a definite plus as well! Everyone had a great time. We plan to stay here again!”

“Cabin was very clean upon arrival. Easy to access. Looks just like the pictures. We had a family of five and one dog. We had more than enough room for all of us to stay comfortably. We appreciate the ability to bring our dog with us on vacation. My only small concern was there were no life vests available for us to use with the kayaks. We had to purchase our own. Also, between the brown bear and the black bear there are four kayaks and only one good paddle. We made due but would have at least...
