"Beautiful grounds and the building is stunning. Staff were friendly and the food was good. Our rooms were big with two en suite bathrooms, one with tub and one with shower. We didn’t use the swimming pool or golf course but they looked good. Down side: no lift/elevator to dining room or to our bedrooms and it would benefit from upgrades- no electric outlets near the bed head. We were disappointed, given the lack of elevators, that check-in staff didn’t offer to help with luggage."

"When we arrived at the hotel it didn't look anything special from the outside. On entering into the small reception we received a very warm welcome and given some local information. We were directed to our room which was very spacious, clean and a nice outlook . The bed was very comfortable although I found the room warm but my husband slept right through the night, which is unusual for him. We opted to have dinner in the hotel and although a bit pricy we were very happy with what we ordered. A very pleasant stay and I would definitely return"

The house is ideally situated in Wigtown so right by some lovely pubs, bookshops and nice areas for walking. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 young children (and a dog) and it perfectly suited our needs - plenty of space and ideal for a group get together. We can’t wait to return!"
