"Phenomenal hotel and very much enjoyed my 5 day stay in Stockholm. Every customer service touch point was exceptional. Very centrally located within the city along with a train station right next to the hotel. My only critique would be to clearly state that the hotel does not have an elevator; navigating up stairs may present a challenge to some. "

"We stayed at Scandic Continental for 5 nights, arriving from the airport by train, giving us a 3 minute walk from Central Station...big plus point for ease of transfer. On arrival, we could see straight away that this would be a great place to stay. Modern, clean and with great facilities, I can find no fault with this hotel. Our room on floor 9 had a corner aspect, giving great views to the nearby church, across the city and to the harbour. The room was excellent, modern and with a clean elegant feel. Possibly the highlight though was the included breakfast. Available on floors 1 and 3, it was an extensive buffet....hot items, cold meat and cheese, waffles, cereal, yoghurt, and much more. An excellent breakfast. In summary, the Scandic Continental is highly recommended."

"Fabulous water view room in an ideal location on Gamlastan, right across from the archipelago boat tour docks and hop-on/hop-off bus stop. The whole island is small and walkable with cute cobblestone walkways, lots of shops and cafes. 5 minute walk to palace, or to Nobel museum (both highly recommended). Breakfast at the hotel was fabulous, so many options including great options for gluten free and vegan, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, etc. Quirkly old building with small rooms but functional and charming. We were in rooms 601 and 602. Firm comfortable bed. Great shower. Absolutely not wheelchair accessible though - lots of stairs. "

"I loved our stay at Hotel Rival. We traveled Scandinavia for over 2 weeks and this was my favorite hotel out of all the ones we stayed at. The room was spacious and the bed comfy. We returned to our room after our day sightseeing with turn down service and sparkling water on the bed stand. The breakfast was delicious and had made to order choices as well as a full buffet. It also had AC which is not always available at Scandinavian hotels. We rented bikes from the hotel and biked all around Stockholm. Thank you Hotel Rival for a wonderful 4 night stay! "

"This hotel did not disappoint, in that it is historic, quaint, and super well-located in the historic area. It is easy to walk anywhere, close to public transit and easy walk to taxi stands. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. My only comment is that there was no air conditioning; a table fan in the room helped keep things cool enough to sleep, and windows open to let in the cooler night air, but it is a noisy, touristy area so we tended to keep the window closed. The only other thing to be aware of is that cars are not allowed into the inner part of the old city (including where this hotel is) between 11 am - 6 am daily, so Ubers, Taxis etc. must stop a few blocks away and you walk the rest. Not an issue unless you have big checked bags with you vs. carry-on. But overall a wonderful hotel that fits in well in this historic area, with superb staff, and a delicious breakfast buffet with a range of great food choices for almost every taste."
