"Charlie was a great host. He was very accommodating. The house had everything you needed. From activities to the well stocked kitchen. The only thing you need to bring is your food. The lodge runs on solar power but honestly you wouldn't even know, it really didn't effect how we went about the day. There is so much to do there that I never heard my 4 grankids say I am bored. As for the 4 adult children they constantly were entertained by what the lodge had available. We never left the property because there was so much to do there. Thank you Charlie."

"We had such a great time at the cabin with our family. The river was absolutely perfect for our kids, and the house was so well stoked and comfortable. We felt right at home. "
"Comfy beds, pleasant staff, nice roomy room. Clean bathroom, with shampoo, conditioner and body lotion - great smelling. Nice breakfast too. We stayed on a Sunday night and arrived late, which made dining options few. If staying in Escanaba, which is a smaller town, be aware when arriving late on a Sunday. Nice size pool, but we didn't swim. Overall, everything was great. "
"The motel is a very nice place and is right on Lake Michigan and it has its own private beach across the road from the hotel. The pool and hot tub were nice. Breakfast is not included but there is a very nice little restaurant next door and the motel offers a discount coupon. Lots to see and do in the area."

"We had a great time staying here! Check in/out is a breeze. Fully stocked kitchen made it easy to cook meals every day saving us money. Caught bass and pike around the dock. All the neighbors around us were very friendly and we would definitely stay here again! Thank you for your hospitality "
"Everything about this place was amazing. The cabin was in a beautiful remote location. It was renovated and decorated beautifully. The cabin was well stocked with everything you would need. The kids loved the little playground and searching for treasures at the beach. We had to go down just a bit to get a sandy beach for swimming which was not a bad walk at all. The owners communication was great as well. We will definitely be coming back and can’t wait for the next stay! "

"Sunset View is lovely - The Winters’ have done an amazing job making this mini resort a wonderful destination for relaxation & respite. Our cabin was so comfortable, clean, & well appointed. At no point did we say, “I wish they had … here.” They had everything we needed. Our hosts were great communicators, too. Check-in was effortless & the guest book had every bit of info you need to reference. We were a little nervous when we realized there was no A/C, but the lower outside temps & multiple fans kept the cabin cool.The shower/tub area of the bathroom is rather dark, but definitely clean & decent water pressure. Highly recommend Sunset View! "

"The place was even better than described! Happily there were two queen bedrooms. Third bedroom had a twin bed plus a bunk bed with top twin and bottom double. Beds were soft and comfy. The kitchen had everything I'd want except for a dishwasher. Loved the outdoor wood Michigan shaped chairs and UP shaped drink table. My personal favorite was the spotting scope set up on tripod in the living room bay window. I really enjoyed the bird watching and changing views of the lake and sunrises!"

"We stayed for one night in July as we did a family roadtrip (including a dog) around Lake Michigan. This property was PERFECT! Spotless! Front porch with a view of Lake Michigan. Safe, quiet and welcoming just outside town location. The home decor was unique in the most special way! Details in every space. Absolutely everything you might need. The fridge/freezer and pantry were well stoked with items (waffles, eggs, juices- and so much more). The fenced backyard was PERFECT for our dog after a long day in the car. To play off leash securely was so needed. The owner left a book of house details and town notes which was super interesting and helpful. The only hiccup was with securing the keys at checkout and the owner responded immediately to our questions. Highly recommend!!!"
"We had such a peaceful, relaxing stay! Being surrounded by nature and having the comfort of the cabin was exactly what we needed. The property was beautiful, as was the cabin itself. It was clean, tastefully decorated, and well-stocked. Check-in was easy and Erika was responsive to communications when I had a couple little questions. The outdoor picnic table and Adirondack chairs were great, and we loved the boardwalk and quiet beach. So glad this stay was dog-friendly! Would stay again."
