Great view, cold
Over all the stay was nice. I was irritated that when i found food crumbs and ants across the floor. The response was to bring ant bait, which would be fine, except they left it at the door with the expectation that i would be setting it out. The heat was centralized in the hallway, and did not really warm up the rest of the unit. Would have been nice to have some sort of awning or cover on the porch.

I have been staying at the Embarcadero for close to 40 years when I visit Newport. The views of the bridge from each room cannot be beat. This unit was well-appointed and clean. We enjoyed bringing in the new Year in this quiet location with gorgeous views

The property itself was nice and we loved the location. However, the unit wasn’t clean (floors gritty, dirty dishes in washer, mug in cabinet full of bacon grease). It was very noisy all day because of the landscaping during the day and the unit above blasting music from night into the morning. We were told to advise the landscaper to stop what he was doing while we were staying in the unit due to our infant needing to sleep. We didn’t think that she be our responsibility to tell them not to do their job. Some advanced notice of the noises would have been appreciated due to the fact it was hard for our baby to sleep all day which ruined our trip. We also had to pay a cleaning fee for a unit that wasn’t clean.

Wonderful location
This was a wonderful location and very relaxing. Veiws are stunning. Overall stay was great, just some little things that need to be updated. The pans in the kitchen are way beyond needing to be replaced. The fan in the bathroom should be separated from the heat lamp. Not all outlets work properly and tge beds are very hard.

Perfect Spot For A Reset
We came here for R & R and it was perfect. We slept in the Murphy bed so we could wake up to the bay view which is amazing. Far enough away from the wharf that the sound of sea lions is a distant fun sound but close enough to walk to everything; beach, restaurants, Nye Beach, and The Wharf. I just love this place.

Ok, but won't stay here again.
Place was not very clean. Trundle bed had used and sandy sheets and when we called to let them know they said someone would come and change them, but never did. We ended upcgsmging the sheers ourselves. Rugs are pretty dirty and stained and they had a dirty used bath mat in the bathroom. Dryer has a broken dryer vent, which is a fire hazard. Location was decent and the kids enjoyed the pool but I wouldn't recommend staying here.

We loved the location of this rental. The harbour view was spectacular. It is an easy walk to the Main Street in town as well. With having 2 kids, we used the Murphy bed, which was convenient, but makes space tight for getting around. The facilities were great. The kids loved the pool and we also enjoyed the restaurant.

This condo is well appointed and right on the water. Comfy bed, great stay. Only one suggestion for improvement. Clear out some of the stuff that is in the closets and drawers. The bedroom closet was loaded, not even floor space for shoes - who needs an old boom box? - and every drawer and cabinet shelf in the entire unit had something in it. There wasn't even an empty cupboard in the kitchen. There were only two of us and we didn't have much food, but if we had kids and had brought more dry goods, like cereal, etc. the counter would have been loaded. Clear out some storage space for guessts' things and this place would be perfect. Thanks!

All in all the unit was very nice. The toilet seat was broken away from the bowl. That was probably an oversight but kind of a pain to deal with. The pool was closed for maintenance which was a disappointment. That could have been mentioned in the listing.

The south-facing deck overlooks the bay, with great views and sun most of the day- sheltered from the wind, even on cold windy days, deck was very pleasant. The apartment is very comfortable for 2 people who like each other!

Pros: Phenomenal view of the bay and bridge. Nice deck. Comfortable couch. Washer/dryer. Adequate bed. Dresser (often missing from BnB’s). Decent dishes/silverware. Plenty of absorbent towels. Some cleaning supplies available (which we had to use). Good lighting. Decent initial communication with VRBO/Vacasa. Cons: Unacceptable standard of maintenance/cleaning. Floor under bed had a thick layer of dust and several dust motes as large as small rodents – wish, in a way that I hadn’t dropped something causing me to look. (We dusted, vacuumed, and bought/used Swiffer pads to clean.) Tub/shower caulking missing, sloppily done, or looks moldy (we used bleach wipes on it). Mildew smell in bathroom. Microwave had a large crack repaired with yellow glue (ick!) Kitchen pans chipped and unsafe to use. Crumbs in the poorly functioning toaster oven. Dishes not all clean. Quilt on bed and other blankets appear unclean. Prior guests’ concerns regarding cleaning and maintenance have obviously not been addressed. We are also disappointed that the email we sent to Vacasa within a few hours of our arrival went unanswered during our 4-day visit. Would we come again? The view is an incredible draw. These Embarcadero units are old, and basic wear and tear is understandable. Still, sloppy maintenance and “lick and promise” cleaning are unacceptable at any price! If we do visit again, we will have our eyes wide open, bring our own bedding, and be prepared to clean. We are sad that VRBO/Vacasa, an organization we have used many times on coastal visits, doesn’t appear willing to address these concerns.
