“Disappointing stay - room was described as 'deluxe' but was on the small side and being up in the eaves of the roof meant one of us had to duck to get in and out of bed. No turn down / refresh on day 1, no waste bin, small but basic things - especially at the price paid. Staff although friendly, were difficult to find (only available via WhatsApp ??), reception never staffed. Overall a great a shame as the hotel has a beautiful setting and grounds. We wint be returning. ”

“What a hidden gem The Annex, Rose Cottage is. Perfectly situated if you want a holiday away from the hustle and bustle of life! Nancy & Paddy are very welcoming hosts on hand to offer local knowledge on the best pubs to visit, walks to take or supply any small thing you may have forgotten. The cottage is beautifully presented , warm and clean with a very comfortable sofa and bed. “It's a very friendly hotel. The room was clean & cozy. The restaurant also very good and I didn't need to find a place to eat. Excellent for a night or two and explore the nearby area.”

“The main thing to be said about our stay at the poltimore is that the staff really couldnt do enough for you. So attentive and lovely. The room was clean, spacious and had a stunning view of the countryside. The water sometimes ran brown, but this is probably the only negative comment to be said. Food has always been very nice here. “This is a really fabulous small hotel. The mostly young staff are wonderful and have really good customer service skills. The room we had was large and warm and really nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable with sufficient pillows and some nice cushions.It was apparent that thought had been put in to all aspects of our stay. There were lovely little touches in the room - biscuits, fresh coffee and a cafetière, an extra blanket, and even recycling facilities in the room itself. We had a vegan……
