“The property is beautiful. It was rainy so we didn't get to walk it this time. The house is very clean. Everything for cooking is provided. We even had awesome muffins waiting for us. The host is very prompt with check in information. This is our 3rd time to stay there. We will be back next year!”

“The Cactus House is an excellent location. Owners and their communication were excellent. Beautiful 3 bedroom home with wonderful front porch and amazing back deck and yard. The main bedroom has its own bathroom and bath/shower. The owners have other fantastic homes on their property. Greta hiking. And, only about 10 minutes from old downtown Bastrop with wonderful restaurants, pub and shopping. Would highly recommend Piney Creek Chop House for happy hour and dining and Maxine's for breakfast.……

“multiple cockroaches are everywhere in my room. Best estimates I would say I have seen 10-15. They are small, moving around fast. They went into my food so I have to trash it. Such a nasty hotel room is a symbol of, I don’t know what to say precisely, nightmare. I hardly recall I had this kind of room experience before. The breakfast is most nothing. Building is old. ”
