"Really loved the garden setting of this property. The evening live background music was also superb. We found Shushani on the front desk extremely pleasant to deal with and she was always concerned about our comfort.
As well Ruwan from the dining room gave us excellent and attentive service.
These two individuals made us feel very comfortable.
The room was always cleaned very nicely and was very comfortable. The bathroom even though it had all the necessary ammenities just might need to be...

"Beautiful property with amazing bedroom lodge and incredible large pool. Very helpful staff. Would prefer a smaller buffet with more focus but that’s personal choice "

"This property is outstanding. We stayed in the deluxe suite with our family of four for four nights in total. The kids loved every minute of our stay. The food, the staff, in particular our butler “Asanka” who was the most attentive, caring, polite and just all round wonderful person. Asanka made our stay so enjoyable and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him. The chefs were also so friendly and helpful and we also enjoyed our chats with them at each meal time, they also spoilt the kids with...

"This hotel is a 3 star at best. Service was slow and the rooms tired and shabby. I found frogs in and around the toilet bowl as well as cockroaches and HUGE bugs in the bathroom. On the positive side I suppose the pool was nice and the open air restaurant had a safari kind of charm if you like dinning in the heat with the flies. Sorry but for me as a five star hotel this is a big fail!"

"Hotel is great. They charged us by mistake when we checked in. Realized their error and upgraded us to a villa as an apology. Rooms, hotel grounds, restaurant and service of staff are all top notch. "

"A 5-star hotel but in Srilanka standard. Someone invested a lot of money, the finishing standard is far from 5 stars. Food ok but small selection for 5 stars. The internet is terrible. There was a party in the main hall until 3 a.m. and it was impossible to relax."

"Words cannot describe how incredible our stay here was. The entire property was spacious and the room was well maintained. There were plenty of amenities that enhanced our stay, such as usable bikes, pool, hot tubs, table tennis, etc. Employees were very amicable as well. Highly recommend. "

"My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of our Sri Lanka trip. The rooms were very big and clean, and it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. The staff were great, and organised a safari trip for us, and a very early excursion to Lions Rock.
The hotel was quite far away from main attractions, and where local restaurants and bars are (about 20 minute drive). This was fine for us as we hired a moped so we could come and go as we please. However I’d bear this in mind if you’re...

"Lovely, friendly family owned hotel. Excellent food (be prepared for a massive, homemade tasty Sri Lankan breakfast). Outdoor facilities a little basic but clearly a work in progress in improving. Pool and room were lovely.
Nice nature walks nearby. Would recommend vegetarian dinner options."

"Decent hotel with nice pool. A bit far from sigiriya rock. No spa and massage open due to Covid, but everywhere else in Sri Lanka there were massage facilities open?"

"The garden around the property was tranquil. It was a lovely, peaceful area to relax in.
Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice.
The host and his family couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. They made our stay a real pleasure."

"We had a very enjoyable and memorable stay at Eighth Wonder Resort. The tree house was spacious and clean with lovely views of the surrounding forest.
The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant and pool area were beautiful and well maintained.
We had problems getting mobile reception, so the manager lent us a wifi router free of charge. Such a big help and very gracious!
The area has heaps of wildlife. Our tree house was visited by a troop of monkeys one morning. Very special, but be safe and keep your shoes indoors!

"Loved the lake and surrounding area. It was so serene. Breakfast was included and was amazing. It was cozy detached cabana type of room. Friendly staff."
"As the hotel name suggests the property is located away from the city's hustle and bustle :) you are immersed in nature and its beautiful surroundings. The staff were welcoming and our check in was quick and smooth. Rooms are spacious with all the necessary amenities. There was enough water pressure from the shower head regardless of the negative comments some guests experienced. Food at the restaurant was deeeeelicious and plenty of varieties from Sri Lankan to international cusines my kids enjoyed their dinner and breakfast (ages 4, 8 and 13) Pool was clean and inviting. Now to the spa i cannot thank Andhira enough she was amazing. I highly recommend guests to stay at Sigiriya Jungles if you are looking for peace and quiet in the middle of nature.
"
"Wow factor and great service. Had the best swim of the year. Expansive hotel and facilities. The full board option was the right choice for us. Food quality and selection remarkable. "
"A lovely stay at here ..room was a little far away from pool and restaurant but quiet and peaceful by the lake . Fabulous buffet -lots of variety and good quality . Sri Lankan options always best !! Efficient friendly service "
"Utterly excellent hotel.
Food, setting, staff, rooms, spa and pool all brilliant.
From here we used hotel drivers to go to Sigiriya, elephant safari, Pollanawa and Arandupura.
Highly recommend "

"This is a beautiful property with spacious rooms that make you feel like you are living in a lush green space. Clean rooms, nice space to work, comfortable bed. The only small complaint I have is the internet was a little slow, video calls for work were blurry, but it worked! Breakfast buffet was really good with lots of options. Bar was pretty pricy but it was nice. The pool was also a welcome amenity after hiking. Would definitely recommend. "
"We loved our stay at the Hungry Lion - super close to the Sigiriya rock (we walked). The nicest thing is the location and friendly atmosphere. For a budget accommodation the room was clean and fresh, a few ants in the bathroom but no big deal. Air con was great -3 restaurants to walk to. A rustic stay in a beautiful location for seeing wildlife. This was one the best parts of our trip and would love to have stayed longer so much wildlife at the location we saw 2 hornbills and elephants on the road on our drive out. Thank you to the lovely people there and we did like your dogs x "
"Great hotel in a beautiful location. We only stayed one night, but could have stayed longer. The pools looked fantastic and well cleaned. We had an excellent meal, and then played pool on the table next to the bar! The hotel is trying hard to be eco, and we had a very interesting bathroom surrounded by plants in the shower, and an open air roof - covered by mesh to stop anything nasty getting in! We watched a fantastic sunset whilst drinking cocktails. Very memorable. Staff were lovely."
"Our stay at Sigiriya Rock Hide was amazing! Beautiful quiet location with a view of Sigiriya rock from the top level restaurant. The food was delicious and very generous, especially the breakfast. The rooms were comfortable with A/C and hot water (just took some time to warm up but was very nice). The pool was very nice amongst a lush garden and was very clean and the perfect temperature. The staff were so incredibly friendly and hospitable. One evening, it was one of their staff member’s birthday and they invited us to have cake with them which was very sweet and kind. They also helped organise a taxi for us to our next stop in Badulla. I highly recommend staying here!! "
"Great place to stay. Large spacious room and comfy large bed. Sana and his family are very welcoming and helpful. Great breakfast plus we were treated to a Sri Lankan breakfast too. Sana took us on a morning excursion where we were treated to all the local wildlife, which was such an unexpected surprise. Would highly recommend stating here. Thankyou all."
"Selvi , Abi and Madhu deserve to be recognised for their amazing service from the time we arrived for our 4 night stay , the girls were always smiling always helpful, we loved the daily towel art in our very clean and cool air conditioned room , then we enjoy the lovely pool and then we were spoilt rotten every morning with the delicious traditional Sri Lanka breakfasts , we give this hotel 6 stars "
"Loved our stay at Eden Garden whilst visiting the cultural triangle.
Room clean, comfortable and spacious.
All of the staff were excellent. Helped us organise trips in the area (Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya and Eco-park safari) as well as onward transport to our next destination.
Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner was served with a smile and tasted amazing. Highly recommend rice and curry (various choices), served with different vegetable side dishes and sambal. We didnt feel the need to dine anywhere else the food was so good.
Hotel also offered laundry service which was reasonably priced.
Convenient location, 10 minute walk to Dambulla centre where you will find a choice of banks, Cargills supermarket and various shops."
"Terrible conditions in the room. There were bugs, old towels and torn bed sheets. Did not have adequate hot water. Faucet controls were falling off. One of two air conditioners was not working. Pool was not usable, the water was cloudy. This property should be delisted from hotels.com. "
