Great time and place
We come to this area multiple times a year for rock hunting, hiking, etc. We have been by this house hundreds of times and when we found out we could actually stay here we jumped on it. This was a weekend for the peak of the Eta Aquariids meteor shower and our normal outings. Had awsome sunset and 1 night of clear skys. Walked across the street and did some rock hunting. Grandson tested the water and he also had a blast even shivering! No reservations about recommending or renting this place in the future. ps. dont forget to drive the neighborhood ..

Lovely cottage
We had a wonderful time staying here in Charlevoix. It’s within walking distance of downtown and a short drive to other day trip activities. The view of Lake Michigan is spectacular, the neighborhood is quiet and secluded enough from the downtown area that it’s peaceful but not far away. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed - the property manager was very helpful too! We hope to stay here again!

Great house
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It is in a great location: right across from the lake and easy access to town. The house was perfect for 2 couples to stay at while we explored Charlevoix, Petoskey, and Mackinac.

A Great Stay
My sisters and I had a sister get away and this was perfect!! The house was clean, comfortable and the view out the living room window was the best!! A nice quiet neighborhood with amazing homes to see. Close to town with plenty of restaurants and shopping. The Mushroom House Tour is a must. We also enjoyed the local museum and The Circle of Arts. Plenty of things to do or just relax at the house and enjoy the view. Thank you for sharing your home.

Fantastic property!
This stunning early Earl Young boulder cottage is located in the quiet Boulder Park area of town. I've stayed at many rentals, and this one is hands down the cleanest and most well-appointed. Nothing was overlooked, from multiple coffee options, to an extremely comfortable bed, to the soap in every bathroom. Maybe not as critical to renters, but impressive to me: the attention to detail is also clearly apparent in the décor. The light fixtures are unique, beautiful, and appropriate for the style of the house. Even the switch plate covers are gorgeous. Did I just write about switch plate covers? Rent the house, and you'll see why! Of course, the views are spectacular. The large front window with comfy chairs faces directly north, so you are treated to side views of sunrises and sunsets. Grab your beverage of choice, settle into a chair, and watch the day come or go in this peaceful space. When night takes over, turning on the gas fireplace is a breeze and provides warmth and a golden glow to the living room. When you are ready to leave the house, it's a very easy 1 mile walk into town. This time of year (early April), many businesses are still closed for the season, but there were still good places to enjoy a meal. Once you had your fill of downtown, there are so many places to explore within an hour drive in any direction. I would highly recommend this boulder cottage, and I hope that we find a time to visit again!

Beautiful spot on Lake Michigan
The highlight of this property is the beautiful view of Lake Michigan out the picture window. It was cool to be there in late winter to watch blue waves hit the shore, but I can imagine it is pretty cool to be there in the summer we you just have to cross the street to be in the lake. The house itself is of course unique architecture that's very cool, both inside and outside. The house has great amenities -- very nice and stocked kitchen, gas fireplace, and spacious bathrooms and showers. One of the more impressive aspects of this home is that they did a great job updating the home to have the modern amenities that you would expect in a kitchen and in bathrooms, but they really matched the architecture so that it feels like a proper update.

If you've never stayed and are considering this property, then you should book with confidence. From the stone of the building, the water views through all the front windows and clean lake air to the fire sitting near the hearth, this property has all the elements of a wonderful stay. Town is a scenic walking distance away

Little slice of heaven
Wonderful property and host. The property management company does a nice job and Jeanne the host is quite hospitable. As luck would have it it rained most of our time there. But it was still wonderful. The pictures almost do it justice. It really is quite wonderful. Kitchen is top notch. The front window is inviting with a good book and now with a gas fire installed in the beautiful fireplace you’ll be hard pressed to leave home. We’ll be back!!!

Stunning weekend in Charlevoix!
Very comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 full bath, Earl Young framed home. Memories made while sitting with coffee in the morning watching the wildlife and lake are priceless. Searching the beach for Petoskey stones. Reading the life story of Earl Young, the "architect" of this amazing structure. Highly recommended! Very communicative host.

Wonderful!!
My husband, two adult sons and I stayed at this delightful stone cottage and loved every minute of it! Great location right across from Lake Michigan. It's a nice walk to town if you're so inclined. The house is well appointed and the deck has been replaced since these photos were taken. Jeanne was very prompt in responding with recommendations and replies to inquiries. This was a bit of an extravagance for us but the memories are priceless. We would happily stay here again!

This is a 6 star experience on a scale of 1 to 5 . I think the only slight inconvience is a full bathroom located off kitchen that not attached to smaller room . It's a minor inconvenience compared to everything else .

For the time of year we came it was very cozy experience at this Vrbo. My wife and son (7 months) loved it. Coffee in the morning while checking out the view is tough to beat. Wish we could have gotten a sunset at night but that’s Michigan weather. We would love to come back some day!

Cozy Cottage
My two good friends and I stayed at this property for a quiet girls weekend away from Metro Detroit. Our weekend was cold and rainy, and the cottage was incredibly toasty and cozy. Just perfect. The kitchen is beautiful with very nice appliances, and the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious. It was amazing to wake up each morning and sit at the giant picture window, drinking coffee and looking out on the frozen lake. It was so very peaceful and lovely. This cottage far surpassed our expectations, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat! Such an incredible property to be able to stay in!
