“Did not know that there were so many stairs to get to and from the bachelor apt., However Hosts were there at the time we arrived to check on things and graciously helped us up the stairs with our bags ! We really appreciated their friendliness and kindness after a long day . The oatmeal cookies that were left for us as a special treat were fantastic and waking up to a beautiful view with Canada geese on the lawn by the lake was amazing!”

“We had a wonderful time at cranberry cottage. Our stay was in January but we were still able to take advantage of the local beaches. There are lots of hiking trails nearby that we were able to go snow shoeing on. The fireplace at the cottage was a nice surprise as we had some very cold nights. The host was responsive and I would definitely love to visit when the weather is a bit better but if you’re looking for a winter getaway this is definitely a place to consider. ”

“Loved this place! My family came together from out west, NS and Nfld to celebrate our mothers life and this was the perfect spot where our adult sons and daughters could hang out separately from us more senior adults.Loved everything from the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms to the incredible TVs in the wall!Thanks guys, we will be back!”

“Bottom line: this is a fun place to stay, and I think you will enjoy yourself if you stay here. House needs (and deserves) some TLC. The house could comfortably accommodate 8 guests, and maybe 2-4 more. We were not really familiar with Rita McNeil prior to our visit, but if you are, this place will be a thrill for you (it's her former home).
