“We had a wonderful time at cranberry cottage. Our stay was in January but we were still able to take advantage of the local beaches. There are lots of hiking trails nearby that we were able to go snow shoeing on. The fireplace at the cottage was a nice surprise as we had some very cold nights. The host was responsive and I would definitely love to visit when the weather is a bit better but if you’re looking for a winter getaway this is definitely a place to consider. ”

“Bottom line: this is a fun place to stay, and I think you will enjoy yourself if you stay here. House needs (and deserves) some TLC. The house could comfortably accommodate 8 guests, and maybe 2-4 more. We were not really familiar with Rita McNeil prior to our visit, but if you are, this place will be a thrill for you (it's her former home). “Although the Rita Suite was clean, comfortable and roomy, and it is in a great location, we found it lacked some basic amenities for travelers such as: Salt and Pepper, cooking oil, servettes, extra roll of paper towel, and sufficient amount of coffee pods for the length of our stay. As well, there was no "Welcome Basket" that we are accustom to seeing at other VRBOs that includes such things as preserves, crackers etc. (i.e. small items that are often not brought by travelers). My family came together from out west, NS and Nfld to celebrate our mothers life and this was the perfect spot where our adult sons and daughters could hang out separately from us more senior adults.Loved everything from the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms to the incredible TVs in the wall!Thanks guys, we will be back!”
