Family Oasis
The property was wonderful for my wife, our new-born daughter, and dog. While we got the opportunity to experience all weather (rain, hail, sunshine) we took full advantage of the outdoors. It was lovely, we hiked 5min down the road to the beach, we noticed tracks and animal droppings but sadly saw no wildlife except some birds. We didn’t get to enjoy the fireplaces as all the wood was damp, I would recommend bringing fresh wood! Luckily, central heating worked fine. The beds were comfortable and the overall ambiance of the home was spot-on. The One and only flaw it had was that the back door did not lock at all, no matter the configuration and if you are like me safety is #1 no matter where or how far you may be from civilization. Other than that, what a gem! Hope to be back some day!

Second Visit and Not the Last
The second visit was better than the first. This is such a hidden gem. Relax, relax, relax. Quiet days. Walks on the beach. Watch the Pacific. What more could you possibly need for a get-away vacation. If you are looking for "the spot", this is it. This won't be our last visit to this amazing property.

Spacious, private and quiet
Architecturally interesting house, inside and out. Our only issue was the lack of comfy & cushy sofas, sectionals or chairs in the great room. Amazing view, and a herd of elk hung out around the house all week. Don't forget to feed the birds on the railing each morning. A lot of VRBO's on the coast of Oregon are just plain cold inside in March. Not this one, the heat-pump system kept the house nice a warm.

Location can't be beat; close enough to the ocean to hear the constant waves and surf, but far enough from 101 that you never hear any cars. Gorgeous spot.

Serene and Peaceful
A very private seven acre property with a gorgeous ocean view. The only sound is the surf and Steller's Jays who visited daily. The minute we entered the charming house, it felt like we were home. The design of the home takes full advantage of the beauty of the setting. The area has many beautiful ocean beaches, rivers and lakes, with all the attendant activities. We drove down to Prairie Creek Redwood Park in Northern California for a day trip.....an old haunt for us. While we enjoyed the whole area, we loved the serenity of home and the setting, We'll be back.

Great location
If you are looking for total seclusion, this is the right place. The house is situated at the end of a very long driveway that looks like something out of a Jeep commercial and the house itself is surrounded by dense forest. There is *nobody,* not a single neighbor, near the house. It's also true that getting to the beach is a hike, but it's a private hike, like your own personal trail. I've never actually been anywhere this remote, and I'll be honest: it was terrific. Plus, the fireplace was great, the kitchen was great, and the beds were great. I'd say I want to go back but I have a funny habit of finding VRBO houses that suddenly get so popular their prices double and we can no longer afford them! This place is so special and rare, I can't imagine the prices will stay reasonable for long.

Just what we’d hoped for!
A remote, comfortable home in which to unwind. More space than we needed, but appreciated all the ‘specialness’ of the place. Felt like we had a private lodge to ourselves. Loved the fireplaces, well-outfitted kitchen and the ability to get instant responses to our inquiries.

Stunning Views and Beautiful Property
Pictures truly do not do this place justice. The views over the ocean with the sea stacks are incredible! We could hear the waves inside as we were falling asleep every night. The property is far from others, and it was so nice to have such a remote space to relax. All of the living room furniture and beds were very comfortable. We loved the massive table to play games on half of it and still have room to eat on the other half. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed for cooking all of our meals. Would highly recommend.

Amazing place to stay!
What an amazing place to stay! Beautiful home, beautiful location. This property truly made the trip for us. So many places we visit it's go, go, go but, we so enjoyed this property that we had one day we canceled most of our plans and just hung out at the house. We had the beach to ourselves every time we ventured down --- we enjoyed sunsets, tide pools, waves, and sand. The beach access was a bit of an adventure but for us that just added to the fun. We found the house to be quite comfortable for our family of four. My youngest teen loved the window seat and would sit and read for hours if she could. The kitchen was well appointed. We cooked multiple meals there and had everything we needed. If you're looking for serenity this is the place to be. Thank you so much for sharing this lovely home with us.

Amazing
This place is excellent. Remote in all the right ways yet only 15 minutes from the grocery store. Between the amazing beach below and falling asleep every night with a fire crackling at our feet this was a much needed respite. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away from it all.

Really beautiful place
This house is amazing. Really big, high ceilings and super clean, superb view, remote location and the fact that dogs are welcome made it almost perfect. The house is well maintained and quite charming. It was a pleasure staying there. The landscape is fantastic, the beach is very close, in fact many beaches are super close and hardly a soul out there. Just a couple of notes: There is no 2nd bedroom, it is just a loft like area upstairs which made it hard to get privacy for the person sleeping up there. And there is lots of poison oak on the trail down the beach, but I understand that that is not the owners fault. Many beaches are close by to drive though if you are sensitive. Overall we would definitely stay here again. 4 stars due to the bedroom misinformation.

Heaven on the Bluff
The house-- and more importantly, its location--was phenomenal. The house is designed so that you have an ever-present view of the stunning coast; even when you're not on the beach below, you feel as if you're in the great outdoors. The house was perfect in many ways-- very nicely appointed and maintained, but also dog friendly, so I didn't have to worry unnecessarily about our pup. Check-in was easy, as was check out. The kitchen was fairly well stocked. We had lots of towels and linens, and caring for the house was easy. We loved all the built in seating, and the huge dining table was our favorite eating, playing , viewing spot. The beach is breathtaking. There are stacks, arches, and rock formations that make for great tidal pooling. We did not encounter another person on the beach until the fourth day we were there! After checking the advisories, we gathered mussels on the beach and had a marvelous meal of fresh shellfish that night. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We'll definitely be back.

Amazing views, beautiful home
This is a truly special place on a remote piece of land in Southern Oregon. Beautiful property, great wildflowers. We saw Elk when we went for a walk. The view from the house is spectacular and the beds are very comfortable. Hilary was quite helpful in answering all of our questions. Cons: Walk to beach is very overgrown and was not passable for us. No Wifi. No laundry.

Cozy!
The house was such a nice place, cozy and comfortable. Beautiful view of the ocean and completely private. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck with our dogs to watch the sunset. We weren’t able to locate a path down to the beach (looked to be washed out) but was a 2 min drive to Arizona Beach up the road, so no big deal. We’ll be back!

Beautiful and Relaxing
What a special place! The setting is absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed walking on the beach every day following a path close to the property. The stars each night were amazing and the house was warm and welcoming. We explored near by towns but also enjoyed spending time at the house cooking dinners and reading books. We made happy memories and our visit exceeded our expectations.

Gorgeous Views, Perfect Beach
We truly loved our stay at this little house with the huge view. It felt completely private as the property feels remote but really isn't. Once you turn off the highway, the road to the house is unpaved and curves through wild grass and trees where elk sometimes roam. It was fantastic to see the herd on our last day make their way through the yard. The house sits close but not too close to another one, and the bells on the neighbor's goats can be heard tinkling as you make your way down to the essentially private beach. Our dog loved everything about this place and even got little treats from the neighbor. The gently sloping path to the ocean took about ten minutes, but we loved getting a little exercise twice a day on our way down to an amazing stretch of beach at which we never saw another soul, save the seagulls. The only reason why we didn't give it five stars is that the place, while cozy and comfortable, is well loved and lived in, and if you're a TV junkie, bring some books for the bedroom. The bathroom, however, was very beautifully updated. And really, what more do you need? I'd also recommend stopping at a larger grocery store before arriving in Gold Beach or Port Orford. The smaller market is more like a convenience store. Every day we were there, we felt truly lucky to have found such a hidden gem and were sad when we had to take the road back to the real world again. We will always cherish our time there. It was truly special. Thank you for letting us stay at your magical hideaway!

very nice get away.
Very nice views and a well stocked rental. Saw some elk next to the cabin ( yes elk, not deer ) and harvested some Mussels from the beach below and added them to our pasta. The stroll to the water is not for older folks but Arizona State Beach is less than a mile drive away and a great place to have a glass of wine and watch the sun go down. This is probably the only VRBO property we would consider going back to.
