"Wow. What a gem! We really had no idea where to stay in Gran Canaria. My husband found this place and it was so great. The staff super friendly, right next to the beach. The rooms were huge and had everything you need! Parking is on site and if you need rental car they bring it to you! The laundry on site is super helpful too. I would stay here for sure again and again."

"Not all is as it seems or you might expect at Apartmentos Babalu. Air conditioning is not included. Fans are not included. Umbrellas on the patio are not included. The 'pool bar' advertised has been derelict for 3 years. The 'shop' advertised has been derelict for 3 years. You have to pay extra to rent a portable air conditioning unit, or otherwise pay extra to rent a fan. You have to pay extra to rent an umbrella for the balcony of your apartment. "Another amazing stay. Never been let down by this hotel, immaculately kept. Great for a relaxing break. Got upgraded at check it and loved our room with living room and sea view. Hotel was very busy but was still enough seating indoors and outdoors. Only criticism to note on this occasion was changes to breakfast. Felt there was less options than previous stays and a lot of staff training. Coffee in coffee pots were cold. A lot of staff in training and some not well guided. Will definitely return and highly recommend for great holiday "

"We were sadly disappointed with part of this stay. We travel frequently with Airbnb & Hotels.com. I return to Hotels because normally, we are very pleased. This was not one of those times. Our check-in was very long. We had to hand over passports a few times for they couldn’t find our reservation. We asked for hotel restaurant for some lunch. The gal who helped us check in wasn’t informed that there was indeed a spot we could have more than chips, snacks, as she said. Our room was beautiful with ocean views. Bathroom sink was clogged. I asked twice for it to be fixed. When our room was cleaned they took the dirty towels but forgot to replace them. The hotel info says mini bar in room. There is not one. The service & breakfast buffet is incredible all around. We had a barbecue Dinner one night which was very nice. Staff very helpful & kind. Pool was magnificent. Swam every day. The dinner shows were amazing! Flamenco Dancers were incredible! The vibe is cruise like. The guests were either with young ones or 60+. Overall we wouldn’t return. But, we had a wonderful time overall. The nearby beaches and boat days are a must! They gave us a late check out for our troubles. "
