“Remote staff consistent with many nice hotels in small towns. Clean and comfortable. Spartan, but all expected accoutrements provided (blow dryer). No outside windows but that helps with sleeping late and is expected when an old mercantile is converted to hostelry. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. ”

“The hotel was built around 1923, so the layout is from back in the day and pretty interesting. I got the Bluebonnet Room, which is just that - a single small room. No toilet or shower, which are down the hall a few steps. Maybe the suites have those, I'm not sure. The room did have a sink, but the hot water faucet was not working. It also had a window heat/AC unit that worked well. The bed was comfortable. In the lobby there is a bar, pools tables, and slot machines. The crowd in the lobby at……

“Property was clean but a little outdated. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of dining options nearby. would definitely recommend this property. Water was hot and the bed was reasonably comfortable.”

“Room was clean, breakfast is decent. But the lighting in rooms is not good for applying makeup. Even with lights around mirror. The only thing that bugs me is we can never get a 1st floor room even though I always request one in advance. Would be okay if there was an elevator. We stay here twice a year for last 4 or 5 years ”
