The room that we were given was in the worst location on property. We had a room which had an outside door entry facing a busy road and garbage truck route. We believe we were given this room because we booked on Expedia. Had we booked directly thru the Inn they offered a complimentary drink in the bar and stated they would match any price we were given. We stayed with Expedia and this is what we got. The property, room and amenities were very good as was the on-site breakfast & restaurant/bar. Ear plugs were found in the vanity kit in our room. We booked weeks in advance so very sad really.

The location is great; you can walk a mile in any direction for something to do or see. The "made to order" was fantastic. Great selection for breakfast! The staff was extremely helpful, whether it was for food suggestions or things to do. Ken at the front desk was very helpful (as were the others). We had to check out very early to catch an early flight and we could not find a UBER at 4:45 in the morning. A security guard for the Inn was walking by and helped us find a local ride to the airport (didn't get his name but he was a big guy!) That saved us! The place was clean (though our room did not have a fridge). Housekeeping was great (you have to ask for it). We had a great time there and would recommend!

We really enjoyed our room and stay. It’s not a modern hotel but comfortable and has a great made to order breakfast included with the room, the bar and restaurant are both good. The location at the edge of Old Town is convenient for walking to shops, museums and restaurants. A good stay for the price.

This is an older property centrally located to the major tourist areas - downtown, Canyon Road, and the Railroad district. The rooms are spacious and some are equipped with wood burning fireplaces. The bathroom was typical of older hotels with worn fixtures but everything works. The staff are the real gems of the Inn - personable and responsive. We plan to stay there again.

LOVED everything about this hotel! The service was phenomenal. The cozy rooms with fireplaces were a treat! The made-to-order breakfast that was included with the stay and the food in the restaurant was delicious! And the hotel bar was a perfect spot for afternoon drinks and nightcaps. Everything about Inn of the Governors was delicious! All staff were fabulous! Really nice custom made full breakfast. The atmosphere was cozy and warm wherever you went. Only sad that we didn't use the fireplace in the room, due to our own fault.

Because they allow smoking on patios, our patio was pretty much unusable. The location is nice. The entire place needs some updates. The Montgomery Wards refrigerator was an indicator of such.

I had a four-night stay at the property and it met my expectations. The inn is conveniently located within walking distance to the plaza, churches, Canyon Road and other tourist attractions. The made-to-order breakfast was lovely (although some of the servers can be non-attentive), the lobby is well-appointed and comfortable, the rooms were clean and cozy, and the outdoor pool is heated to 82 degrees so despite chilly air it is still warm enough for a swim. Best of all, the restaurant and bar have good, reasonably priced food so we didn't have to hunt for a place to eat every night.

I am a 79-year old woman with arthritis and must use a walker to get around. Hence I need a property that is not only ADA compliant, but ADA friendly. The Inn of the Governors fulfilled all my needs and did it well. Plus its location close to the Plaza makes it easy for everyone who travels with me, to enjoy themselves as well.

A fun place to say right in the center of Santa Fe. Not new or fancy, but it had fun amenities like the Sherry at night. The breakfast was a really good from scratch breakfast included with this day.
