“Alrighty, the place had charm. It’s a manor house that was built in the late 1800s. David, the owner, was an engaging and passionate host, but gave the impression that he couldn’t be bothered to go too much beyond the expected.
The room was charming! However, it’s an old building and it lacked modern amenities and the room was in an isolated part of the building.
If you like, staying in an historic house and being a bit off the beaten path, and this is a great place. I have no regrets but I……
“This was a stop over on the way to a holiday further north in Scotland. The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly. The rooms and bathrooms are a little tired but perfectly functional. One of our rooms was to the front of the hotel opposite the local supermarket and cash point (the cashpoint is regularly used and weirdly noisy) - the supermarket opens early - if you are a light sleeper the noise will wake you up. Interestingly we booked 2 rooms at the same price and they differed……
“We enjoyed our stay very much. Pam was friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were excellent. We could see the sea from our bedroom window. It is a little far to the centre of town, so if you don't have a car, be prepared.”
