Our room was fantastic. It was very clean, and I loved the way it was decorated. The location was quite different from other places I've stayed in the area. The large pond in the back made it extra special. The staff also went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

Overall ok. Nice staff. Clean. Small cramped room. Loud RR tracks nearby. You hear every creek in the house. Wall AC unit that gets warm. Decent breakfast. Nice front porch and lake in the back. Good parking. Not too many options that close to beach. I would stay again, but manage your expectations.

The grounds were very nice and we spent a lot of time hanging by the pond. The room was smaller then it appears on the website and we were glad we didn’t have to spent too much time in it. The breakfast was very good and it was nice to eat on the porch. The owner was very nice and friendly. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Wonderful Stay

If you are looking for a cozy home away from home stay you can't beat this Charming Inn .The staff -. Nothing is too much trouble .Lovely comfy bed.--Home made cake,fresh milk and bottled water daily,Beautiful pond and porch -they deserve a five star rating and we will be back soon for our third visit.

Perfect Location, Lovely Inn

Perfect Location, Lovely Inn We spent two nights here while exploring St. Augustine for the first time and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Owner was truly a consummate host, giving us a map and brief overview of the town's attractions upon arrival and making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. As others have noted, the breakfasts was delicious and had a lot of selections. We felt truly welcome! We loved the location and the pond in the yard was just gorgeous. The beach was great and lots restaurants and sights was a big plus. You simply can't go wrong by staying here.

There are much better places around

We needed a place to put our heads for the night---we chose this place because it was "pet friendly" for our ten year old arthritic golden retriever. Even though we were the only guests in the place, we were put on the third floor, told to use the side entrance because of the dog----we were up at 7:30 to leave and found no coffee or breakfast. Then she added a twenty five dollar pet charge we found on our bill-------all hat, no cattle---find another place

Walden Inn stay in Spring Lake

The inn was very cute with wicker chairs on the porch to relax in as well as great hospitality and buffet breakfast. The location was perfect for seeing the Spring Lake area, downtown and beautiful beaches nearby.

Charming Inn - Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay - our room was lovely and very clean and comfortable - The location also was great- close to the beach and on a large pond. The staff was also very friendly and helped us with anything we needed. We will be returning soon

Great Little Getaway at Jersey Shore

My husband and I recently stayed at the Walden on the Pond when we decided to take a spontaneous weekend trip. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the picturesque grounds overlooking the pond and the quaint, Victorian porch done in white wicker and beautiful hanging flowering plants. Eating breakfast on the porch was serene and relaxing, but you can eat indoors as well, on cute wicker tables in the always accessible kitchen area. The rooms were well appointed and were clean as a whistle, and the friendly staff met our every need. The beach was just a few short blocks away, and the nearby restaurants were top notch. Walden brings you back to a quieter place in time, and is an awesome getaway spot at the Jersey Shore!

My wife and I just returned from a 4 night stay at the Walden on the Pond Inn and would recommend it to anyone. The management were very hospitable and co-operative. Our room was spacious and clean, the staff was friendly and responsive. I am thrilled that I found this perfect spot, and I am already booking my next trip!

Great Escape from New York City

My Husband and I had a lovely time at this Inn. We never realized it was just 4 short blocks from the train and took just an hour 1/2. Our room was lovely and very affordable. The staff also made us feel very welcome and at home. The beach was so relaxing. I never thought this could be found in New Jersey. The porch and also what can I say about the lovely pond. We watched and saw birds all morning. Just a Great Escape.
