"The apartment was lovely and clean. Although there is no parking included the on street and car park right across the road were very good. We stayed in apartment no14 which was in the back building. On the Friday and Saturday night the noise was bad with the pub next door until about 3am, they do provide ear plugs, this wasn’t helped with the window in the bedroom not working properly, the handle was stuck so it didn’t seal properly. The bed at first felt very hard but ultimately was very comfortable. Great facilities and toiletries. My only other recommendation would be for them to not have as much furniture, the large table in the living room and other furniture means there isn’t much space to move around. The location is excellent and super convenient for the town. Even with the noise I would 100% recommend and stay again."

"The Dunvegan Hotel is a great place to stay and served as my base for my 6 golf round trip and one week stay in St. Andrews. The room had everything I needed and the location was perfect near everything happening in the town of St. Andrews and of course, the Old Course, where I had the privilege of playing there. Breakfast was great and I was greeting upon arrival by Luke, the manager, who helped me bring my bags to my room. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again, for sure."

"I was not originally planning to leave a review, but after being prompted twice by Hotels.com, I feel it is worth sharing my experience. This property enforces a very strict cancellation policy. I had to cancel last minute and tried to reach out two days before check-in, but was still charged for the full four-night stay even though I had a flexible rate. The most disappointing part was the lack of responsiveness. Messages sent via Hotels.com were ignored, and it took three days to receive a reply by email from the hotel manager. Other hotels in St Andrews normally charge the first night in similar situations. Charging the full stay feels unusually rigid. You are clearly paying a significant premium for the location near the Old Course, but the level of service does not match that price point. I would recommend travellers visiting St Andrews to consider other options—either better premium hotels or more affordable B&Bs that offer better overall value."

"Had a lot more hope for this property. First they were not happy we booked though Expedia and not through them. Second the first room was damaged with a broken bed frame. Went directly to front desk to fix as soon as got to the room. Took a while to fix that with no apology. Got a new room. Some staff friendly and some not. First thing that strikes you is the stains on the carpet and dirty hallways that need cleaning. Room didn't have enough towels for 2 people. They did give us one extra shower towel. Walls had stains on them. Generally not great. Location was OK. About a 20 minute walk to town centre which was not bad and there are two grocery stores outside the hotel."
