I would definitely NOT stay at this place again. Granted it is a hostel not a luxury resort but come on at least ensure the rooms are cleaned. Dirty rooms but great location, that's all I have to say. You make the call.

This was a hostel but we had a room to ourselves. Comfortable. Breakfast was good. We parked in parking lot next door at the hotel.

It was a good hostel to stay in for a few days. Staff were very helpful with any questions I had. I will say I got unlucky in the bunk room with inconsiderate roommates who were loud and even turned the lights on when I was trying to sleep. Granted that is not the hostel but still made for not such a grey experience in the room.

The worst part of my stay is their policy of checking people in at all hours. There were nights when people walked into the room at 1:00am, turning the light on and waking everyone up. Also, their dining facility was not set up to handle the large student groups that arrived. All food and beverage was gone by 8am.

The staff of the a&o are excellent. They are the reason why I gave this place a 5 star. For a hostel, it was also very clean and well taken care of. I appreciated the restaurant and bar that was on the ground level. It was a nice place to relax and wait for our room to be ready. It was minimal amenities and the front elevator was out, so we had to climb stairs or walk around to the back of the building for the other elevator. However, this was a small inconvenience. The location was great! We walked all around and had a ton of options to see, experience and plenty dining options.

Arrived to be told that the lift was out of order and had been for weeks, wish this had been communicated to me as I may have cancelled my visit as I am a wheelchair user. A very kind but seemingly tired receptionist offered to show me to the ‘other lift’, took me to a staircase and said the lift was down those stairs. I had to tell him that I couldn’t do that, which I’m surprised he hasn’t realised. He then told me I had to leave the hostel and go around to a different entrance, meaning I had to go down a steep slope that. I wish that it had been noted on the website that this entrance was to be used. To get to the original entrance, two kind strangers had to push me up to it as it is so steep. If I had known there was a second entrance I would have used it. Room was fine. A bit disappointed that I was expected to make my own bed, which I chose not to do as it was late and I didn’t want to wake others in my room.

Brilliant place to say. Only notes of complaints are that the bracket for holding the shower head up was broken. It was more an inconvenience than a problem. Also the shower drain never seems to be properly cleaned so the water doesn’t drain away quickly.
