“The Manager of the Spa was amazing so was the gentleman on reception for sorting out a hairdryer for the room. Unfortunately the room we were given 119 is over the bar/kitchen area and the main fan kept me awake everything else was lovely ”

“We had Room 200 which large enough for us. The bathroom was immaculate and appeared to be new. Not much of a view but we were not bothered by this. Tea and coffee making facilities and comfy bed. The building itself was amazing as regards an old Spa hotel but some parts looked as though it needed some TLC. The earliest you go for breakfast the better as it gets really busy but the food is still plentiful. ”

“Good location, on street parking where you pay at meter but when we were there the meters were not working so got free parking. Breakfast is buffet style with reasonable choice, cooked items, bread, toaster, jams, fruit, cereals, etc. Restaurant and bar available for evening meals or drinks and lots of take away and restaurant choices within a 5 minute walk. Park opposite, shops nearby, train station not far away either. Building is old so expect some creaky floors and older style design, but……

“On arrival we had a self check in and unfortunately the cleaner hadn't done our room. A text to the owner, a few beers and food up the road and our room was ready with complimentary drinks for the inconvenience. Mistake solved!”
