“A precious gem! If you love historical places and want to know what true southern hospitality means, this is the place to go. The owners are amazing and their restored house, former slavequarters is beautiful. The town of Natchez is a perfect place to learn about antebellum history. The breakfast is made with love and tasted amazing, don’t know how the toast is made but its magic! You can park your car next to the house.”
“Prachtig ingerichte villa, met veel aandacht voor detail. Elke kamer heeft een eigen sfeer. De eigenaresse is een warme en actieve vrouw, die vol energie in de keuken staat en zelf de prachtige tuin onderhoud. De ontvangst was fijn en we kregen een uitgebreide tour door het huis.
De villa is centraal gelegen, met voldoende parkeergelegenheid. Het ontbijt home made en heerlijk (we hebben in de middag nog genoten van de meegekregen stukken appeltaart).”
“Our host, who doesn't live in the house, gave us free run of the place since no one else had rented the other bedroom. The place was comfortable but not updated. Our host was very pleasant and accommodating and we enjoyed visiting with her. She provided us with a nice breakfast using eggs from her own hens.”
“We had a wonderful stay at The Guest House in Natchez. The building is beautiful, full of character and history, and the whole place has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was comfortable, clean and exactly what you hope for when staying in a historic property like this.
Breakfast was absolutely excellent — actually one of the best breakfasts we had during our entire trip through the South!
A very special thank you to Miss Denise. She was incredibly kind, welcoming and genuine, and……
“Pool apparently is never cleaned, really gross. We ordered 2 mojitos at bar by pool. They came in 8 oz plastic cups ,all ice and bill was over $30! We walked around the plantation house and it is in a sad state. Holes in floor of 2nd floor outside gallery, wrotten boards with no danger sign. The inside is stagnant and musty . The room was fine but our room on 3rd floor, all stairs.”
“Peaceful and quiet easy to find. Great views of Mississippi..
Lovely pool and lots of outdoor spaces to relax.
Good room slept well nice compact bathroom.
Didnt meet host.
Average breakfast at Monmouth.which is a lovely stately home. Dont have the french toast basically fried bread with what didnt look like cream cheese in between and dusted with powdered sugar no fruit as you would usually have - wasnt good!”
