“There were unfortunately several issues with the property. There was no running water in the bathroom sink. The room was unbearably hot, with no fan or any methods of cooling. When we opened a window for ventilation, the noise from the busy street (not evident in any photos!) kept us awake. The room we booked pictured a double bed, but when we checked in there were two single beds. Worst of all, I woke up covered in bug bites! When we tried to find someone to tell them we were checking out……

“Bed was lovely and comfortable. Room was very nice. Struggling to get in and out of the shower.
Staff on the whole were lovely but felt there was an atmosphere of discontentment amongst staff.
Food expensive with service charge added without giving us the opportunity to say no.
Rats running around the skip outside. Needs a general paint job outside.
Leaving on a positive the breakfast was lovely.”

“Nice village hotel and our check in and room were good on the face of it. Other than the guy who checked us in, staff was generally rude. We had booked for breakfast at 08:00 on the first morning, and having travelled the previous day from Asia ended up waking earlier and found ourselves waiting in the breakfast room around 7:10, hoping to be able to request breakfast at 7:30 when it opened. We were greeted by a man in a hurry, brusquely telling us over his shoulder whilst rushing around doing……
