“Their restaurant is very good,will come again.”

“We loved staying at this fantastic old pub the staff were great breakfast was fantastic and included in the price. The only 2 things I would change is the bed, it was rock hard and could’ve don’t with a soft top mattress topper to fix this problem, and there was no air conditioner and the room was very hot so a ceiling fan or even a pedestal fan could be in the rooms. Other than that everything else was great. ”

“I recommend room 2. The bedroom was spacious and has a separate lounge with a sink which was very useful. Everything was clean and tidy. The food is excellent. We ate there every night as there seemed little point in searching elsewhere! There are two cask beers which were both in good condition during our stay. Not surprising as the bar / restaurant area was busy with locals and guests every night. Breakfast excellent too. Relaxing atmosphere. We’ll be back.”

“The outdoor bar Gin and Juice was a tropical paradise with fun cocktails and a lovely garden setting. The Japanese restaurant was also excellent. Staff were very friendly and our room was large and beautifully appointed. We'll plan a trip to Cheltenham just to stay in the hotel again!”

“We had an excellent stay. The girls working there when we arrived late were brilliant. They made us some sandwiches even though the restaurant had closed and nothing was too much trouble. Best service we have had in a long time.”

“I love this place. I have been here many times. The rooms are lovely. Very tastefully decorated and comfortable. I only wish they would serve breakfast at a business-person’s time. At 0800 it is crazy late for a work day. ”

“Stayed for one night in a spotlessly clean modern bedroom in this very old hotel. The only things that let it down were lack of private parking, a very small en-suite and no hand soap. ”

“Beautiful setting and lovely old buildings”

“Stayed here for a wedding, room was small but clean. You could feel the bed springs on your back when you laid down and the bed was a bit small. Understood they had breakfast included, but they don't serve breakfast. Staff was lovely and very accommodating. ”

“Nice village hotel and our check in and room were good on the face of it. Other than the guy who checked us in, staff was generally rude. We had booked for breakfast at 08:00 on the first morning, and having travelled the previous day from Asia ended up waking earlier and found ourselves waiting in the breakfast room around 7:10, hoping to be able to request breakfast at 7:30 when it opened. We were greeted by a man in a hurry, brusquely telling us over his shoulder whilst rushing around doing……

“Great communication and a room upgrade which was a pleasant surprise. Well appointed, stylish room with comfy bed, a powerful shower and nice tea, coffee and biscuits. An eye mask and ear plugs were supplied as the only down side is there is noise from the street. The windows are sash and I expect can’t be double glazed. Probably not an issue unless you’re a light sleeper.”
