"My stay was fine, even if the price was a little high for the value. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. The location was good, with easy access to restaurants and GSMNP. The grounds of the hotel were beautifully manicured. My only complaint was with the included breakfast. It was not served until 8:00, and the only items served were breads/pastries, cereals, hard boiled eggs, and drinks. No hot entrees, no fresh fruit, no yogurt, and certainly nothing to fortify you for a hike on the nearby trails. And it was all served on Styrofoam with plastic utensils; there was no recycling or composting in evidence. I would not stay here again."

"Townsend is the perfect place to plan a restful visit to the mountains. The location of the cabin is peaceful with amazing views. The cabin is exactly what it is described to be. The only thing that could use an upgrade is the cooking utensils and pots and pans. Townsend is limited during the off season for restaurants. We love to cook when we visit so we went to Walmart in Maryville to get a larger no stick pan that fit our needs. A skillet or gas grill would be a great addition. I would caution people with disabilities or physical ailments about the stairs. The stairs going to the main bed are very steep and can be tricky to navigate during a late night potty break. . The living room area was great. The couch is super comfy. We weren’t able to navigate the TV for live channels and there werent any directions on how to operate. We used the Hulu app and made do that way. "

"Cabin floor dirty - used a-tips, Bobby pins, etc on floor which tells us floor was not cleaned; trails are not easily accessible; felt restaurant food was priced too high. "

"This cabin is beautiful and has a lot of space. Wasn’t as secluded as I expected but it was at a dead end road and only noticed a couple people around and I believe they lived in the area. The host was amazing, answered all of my questions and even met us at the cabin for a personal tour of the home and what her expectations were as we stayed there and upon our departure. Would definitely recommend her cabin to anyone looking for their Smokie Mountain trip!!"
