We told the night clerk at 10:00 we were delayed by construction and heavy traffic and GPS said we would arrive shortly after midnight. He said the front desk closes at midnight with no allowance for late arrival. We said we might be able to get there by then and sped up, and had less construction/traffic for rest of the way & GPS said we would arrive right at midnight. I was getting bit by bed bugs. Luckly the room had double beds and the other bed did not feel like I was getting bit as much. I killed one bed bug and the blood came spewing out. It was a dreadful experience. I had to call the manager to check in since the lobby door was locked. It was before midnight, but the need to at least post a sign instead of acting like they are not open.
