"My wife and I loved our stay at this beautiful beach house sitting steps away from a sandy part of Torch Lake. My wife has a bad ankle and she appreciated the easy layout. Angie communicated everything well to ensure a smooth stay. All the amenities made for a comfortable stay. We thought the beds were comfortable , we slept well. Close to boat rental. "We had a great stay on Elk Lake. We had 10 adults and 3 children and there was plenty of room for all of us. The house was very clean when we checked in. It had everything we needed for our stay. A well equipped kitchen, 2 refrigerators, beach towels, kayaks, beach chairs and our dog loved the huge backyard which is very private. The swim area is awesome for young kids. Its hard sand and shallow for probably 20-30 yards from the shore. It was great!!!."

"We stayed for a week and had a great time. Fishing, boating, sandbar! The chain of lakes is beautiful. The house had everything we could need and was very comfortable for a family of 4. Great restaurants in the area. The dock was nice to have for our boat. The hosts were onsite and so accommodating. New friends were made and the trip was a blast. "

"What a terrific property! The spacious house easily accommodated ten adults (we brought a blow-up mattress to have enough beds in the lower level). Nestled in the woods with a large yard and a big fire-pit, the home had that up-north feel. Elk Lake was about a half-mile walk. We loved the location--an easy drive to Elk Rapids (loved Veteran's Memorial Beach), Torch Lake, Traverse City, and all the wineries and beaches on Old Mission Peninsula. The host was easy to reach and check-in/check-out was a breeze. We'd stay here again!"

"Check in was so stess-free and communication with the host and owner were both so easy and made it so much nicer. The property is beautiful on the lake, 2 min walk to Short's brewery who has a band playing almost every night and with cornhole and area to play sports or throw a ball, and right in the center of shops, many lakes, Traverse City (30 Min drive), Torch Lake - 15 min drive away, beaches - 5 min walk distance away, breweries, and marinas. We had available to us 2 kayaks, life jackets, bicycles, and a raft right there in the garage as well as the grill we used to cook a couple times!! The hot tub was really nice too. The kitchen is really nice, and everything was right there. It got pretty warm in the house through the day, but we weren't there much since we had things to do every day. The water is also very hard, which was communicated through various reviews as well. There was also poison ivy near the wood line which prevented us from being able to get sticks etc for the fire pit that is also available. "

"The house was immaculate upon arrival. Easy access with a code for electronic door locks. Grocery store less than a mile away has everything you need and then some. Town center is cute, pubs, ice cream etc.The shallow water out back with its sandy bottom was a HUGE hit with the little ones. Small boat dock allowed for temporary passenger loading for day on the lake. Overall, outstanding."

"Our family had a fantastic time! There were 6 of us that stayed in the 3 cabins. The kitchen in the main cabin was stocked with everything we needed. There is a very nice outdoor grill, picnic tables that are gorgeous and a great firepit. The host even supplied wood (we didn't use it but it was a wonderful touch). The beds were super comfy and we were close to everything. The Ames Cafe across the street has a fantastic breakfast. They open at 9:00am everyday so get there early as they are packed. We are looking forward to our next visit."

"It’s almost impossible to find a quality place that can easily handle 11 people, but this home does that and more…much more. Not only did everyone get their own bedroom and bathroom, there was enough space for everyone to get together for meals and find their own private space when they wanted some “me” time. We hope to go back even if it is pricey. Just an example of getting what you pay for. My kids equated it to Disney World. You pay more, but you leave with a lot of priceless memories. "

"This was a perfect location for a family reunion. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms to accommodate our family. The kitchen was perfect to prepare meals and lots of seating areas. The location was perfect close to beaches, hiking trails , wineries cafés, and a quick drive into Traverse City. The view was spectacular and great communication with management.
