"I love Kauai Shores. It has a shopping and restaurants within walking distance, beach right there steps away, complimentary valet, on site restaurant/bar, the location is perfect"

"The location is great. Right by the beach, centrally located to all the attractions. Pool and pool area are great too. The rest in my opinion falls short of the 4 star, $500+ per night (with all the taxes and fees) hotel. I would give it 3.75 stars but there is no such option. Some areas are dated. You can tell the hotel tries to maintain them by painting stuff over but it shows. For me the worst were supply and return grills for the A/C unit. Very dirty. We actually had been turning the A/C off as much as we could so we would not breathe in the dust!! Thankfully the wonderful ocean breeze helped :) Breakfast buffet is decent but it falls short of the Marriott's standards. Some more daily variety would be nice."

"We loved the property and the process for checkin and checkout was seamless. The unit was clean and very attractive. We would/will definitely consider renting again. Excellent location right next to the Coconut Marketplace for food and shopping choices. The Passion Cafe which we love is also just a short walk away. "Mostly this was a good suite and worked for us. I am a rare traveler and was unfamiliar with an off-site host. I needed help with WIFI and a couple of other questions and the company was quick to help and patient. Apparently some suites are better maintained than others. Our was medium. There was a slider screen that was pulled from the frame. There was only 1 gecko and 1 cockroach, so that's pretty good for Hawaii. The suite was basically clean, yet there was the unsealed screen, damaged vent, cracked lavatory, touched up shower, poor painting). It was a place to stay while our local house was being tented. Suites vary. Company helpful. Basically good."

"Loved this ocean view condo, it’s so close to the water you can almost feel the spray from the ocean. That was probably our favorite part, just sitting on the lanai enjoying some food or coffee while watching the waves come in. Amazing location with tons of amenities nearby. Gas station right there, lots of delicious restaurants. Our favorite in the area ended up being Naisla! There was also a lovely thrift boutique called Clementine, and antique store called Pagoda that had great things in them. Being located on the east of the island it’s easy to go north or south without a huge drive. It’s also a few blocks from the Coconut Market where there is an ABC store, boutiques and farmers market. Walking a block over there is a path access to get down to Lae Nani beach which has some rough surf but amazing to hang out on the beach. There was a Safeway 5 minutes away to stock up on supplies for meals when we didn’t want to go out. We walked and got to meet a of the locals there in Waimea and Kapaa on the east side I think the only thing that is challenging if you’re not used to this type of climate is the air conditioning. There is one in the bedroom, but you’re not supposed to use it to cool the whole condo. So with the heat and humidity it can be uncomfortable. Not a deal breaker but something to take into account. Everything was clean, the new improvements and appliances were all great quality. The condo and surrounding area felt nice and safe. Loved it!"
