"We had a nice time here. We brought our 13 year old here on Halloween because he thinks he's too old to trick or treat. We thought a night in a real haunted inn would be fantastic and it was. The lady who checked us in told him some wonderful stories about spirits there. I appreciated that so much. He had a great time."

"This is a fine accommodation for those road warriors stopping to rest for a night. The local seafood restaurant next door is a local favorite with good value and great food. We were disappointed when the front desk staff didn’t offer up any information on breakfast times or location of the breakfast room. They also neglected to tell us of the Wi-Fi info ie. password etc. sadly the desk clerk also placed us in the least desirable room at the stairwell by the ice machine. We also had some road crew workers hanging out late into the evening. You guessed it sitting on the staircase smoking and drinking. Oh what fun. Staff could have been more considerate to us given we are retirees and often retire early so a more quiet local would have been appreciated."

"Let me start by saying the house was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. It was in a great location, close to restaurants, boat ramps to put our boat in the lake, and boat rentals. We did rent a pontoon boat for a day and enjoyed touring the lake. Now the negatives..We arrived about 10 minutes before check-in so decided to walk around and check out the outside. First thing we noticed when getting out of the car was a horrible smell! There was a large bag of trash sitting next to the garage/shed. I don’t know how long it had been out there, but it looked like a critter had chewed a few holes in the bag and it stunk really bad. The trash cans were sitting up by the road (I don’t know if that is where they were supposed to be but we left them there) so my son carried the bag up and put it in the trash can. The back yard left much to be desired. There was a grill that was left at the bottom of the stairs, blocking the walkway. The cement walkway going to the fire pit was broken up so you pretty much had to walk on the grass. The fire pit area was not clean. Chairs were scattered around, there was another grill there that was falling apart and filled with half burnt charcoal. There was just a lot of trash around that area! In spite of that, we did have a fire one night and enjoyed sitting around the fire pit.All-in-all we loved the house and enjoyed our stay. If it weren’t for the outside area,I would have given a 10/10 rating."
